The Umbrashnul King did not expect a beam of light to suddenly hit him directly in the chest.

Yet, despite not having the requisite skill anymore, he was still able to cast a light magic spell.
It hit hard, blasting a deep wound into the Umbrashnul King's chest.
The problem with being able to shrug off most attacks meant that he was too lax in defending himself sometime.
Now that Marcus had been downgraded from a major to only a minor threat, the Umbrashnul King had only paying attention to Marcus scythe that glowed with strong, but far weaker than before, light energy.

A grunt of pain was proof that the laser spell did some real damage, and Marcus was not going to let the opening he had just created go to waste.
