When Ace saw the system's notification, his eyes flickered, and for a moment, even he was surprised.
'Again?'
He had received Minor Luck at the previous milestone, and now, the Stairway had bestowed the same Providence upon him a second time.
He could not directly perceive how the integration would affect his fate, nor could he determine whether the two instances of Minor Luck would interact in any particular way.
After all, the system had not provided such an explanation, and he wasn't about to invent one. Still, the meaning was hard to ignore, since luck was supposed to be the hardest to obtain.
'The Stairway has given me Minor Luck twice.' He looked toward the ancient steps and mused, 'What exactly are you trying to do?'
However, the Stairway offered no answer, and Ace kept his expression composed as he stored the notification in his thoughts; it was nothing but good for him. Then he turned his attention toward Eva.
At that moment, she looked at him, visibly surprised.
