Hearing that, Ye Xinren let out a humorless chuckle. "Thanks."
Shen Ke observed him in silent and sighed, stepping inside without invitation. "Seriously, what's wrong with you?"
"I don't know," Ye Xinren admitted.
Shen Ke rolled his eyes. He knew Ye Xinren lied. He said, "Fine, let me guess. You and my brother-in-law had a fight, right?"
Ye Xinren hesitated. "No, it's not … I mean, I don't think so."
Shen Ke gave him a flat look. "So, what? He ghosted you for no reason?"
A bitter laugh escaped him. "That's what it feels like."
Shen Ke shook his head, dropping onto the couch. He studied the gloomy man for a moment before he added, "If I was you, I'd text him something dramatic, then block his number."
Ye Xinren shot his a look. "That's childish."
"Exactly. But it gets the message across, though."
Ye Xinren sighed, rubbing his temple. "I don't want to make things worse."
Shen Ke scoffed. "Worse? He's already ignoring you."
Ye Xinren didn't respond.
