"So are we still going to finish this job?? Or will we go back??" I asked, confused about what to do next, "If we return now, it will seem like we are running away from something. And we can't go back on our words; we got paid to guard Baldwing until it reached Lys."
"Then what should we do now? And how are you going to hide the eggs??" I enquired nervously; my brother had a pensive look for a while. "We will buy clothes, as much as we can!! Then we will wrap the eggs inside before putting them in the ship!!" Brother said, solving the problem.
"Okay, I will buy the clothes, and you will look after the crate!!" I said to my brother, "Here, take this!!" He threw me a sack full of money; I caught it and dashed till I was out of the alley. I then slowed down and went towards a shop. I had to backtrack when I was about to enter the first shop, as it was the shop where I bought the hair dye. I then headed directly to the other shop next to it.
When I got in the shop, I saw some sellswords talking to the shop owner; I took as many clothes as I could. I put them on top of the counter and asked for the total. As I was waiting, one of the sellswords came to me and asked, "You are pretty strong for a kid! How did you become so strong??" I looked at him and answered, "I am not that strong; I just eat a flower that grew at the end of the river of Rhoyne."
"Really, where can I find this flower??" He asked, believing me, "At the bottom of the river, its body is red with blue at the edge of the petals." I answered with a made-up flower. He looked at his friends and back at me, and then he said, "Here are some coins. If any of these guys ask you about your strength, just tell them a lie, okay?" handing me a sack full of money, "Yeah!! Sure!" I nodded my head.
'Soooo basically like what I did with you!! I won money from lying to tell more lies!! ' I tried my best to not laugh at the guy in his face: "Your total is 170 coins!" A young man said, I gave him the money, picked the crate where all the clothes were and left the shop. On my way out, I could hear the sellswords talk to the man I talked to earlier about what we conversed about.
I dashed back to the alley where my brother was; I found him waiting for me. He opened the crate and rummaged through it a little bit. He put some of the clothes in his pack till half the clothes were stashed; he picked the eggs and put them in the crate. He hid the eggs within a layer of clothes before he closed the lid. He then burnt the crate where the eggs were.
After some walking we reached Baldwing, with the crate in the hands of the brother. Once we got in the ship, we could perceive both Grore and Zorroquol talking aboard the deck.
"Ahhhh!! If it isn't the Magnes brothers!! You came back early; I like your new hairstyle, kid!!" Zorroquol said while elbowing Grore. "Since you came back early and Baldwing is loaded, how about we leave??" He added, "Why?? We haven't seen everything in the city yet!!" I said, feigning anger, "Jade!! If the captain thinks that we are fit to go, then who are we to say no?"
"Yes, I think we are fit to go!! All on board!! Loosen the ropes!!" Grore shouted as the boat picked up speed; once we were far away from the dock, he shouted again. "Full speed ahead!!" And again I found myself in the sea.
