Ning moved instantly. He crossed the distance in a flash and pulled on Godhood's cloak, letting the dagger miss him by seconds. The angel fell to the ground, quickly scrambling to get back up.
Sharron stumbled back, her eyes wide in panic.
The silhouette paused, its featureless head tilting toward Ning.
"That's surprising," the figure said. "I was certain I could get a kill there." He slowly melted away back into the floor. "Imagine how big of a news it would be if the second greatest hero in this world were to die so easily."
Ning looked at the vanished killer, knowing he had no way to grab him at all. "You two," he turned to Sharron and Godhood. "On the desks. Now!"
The two rushed to climb on top of the desks, staying away from where the person could climb away from. At the same time, Ning kept an eye everywhere, not just the floor, since the man could move through both the walls and the ceiling.
