ERIC POV
After having an audience with headmaster, I got a grasp about the environment of the academy. Though the academy boasts about equality, that's is only for outside. The discrimination between nobles and commoners is the daily dispute here. Factions are created and they oppose each other. Most nobles here are not because they want to be magician, but to join factions and to make connections for benefits. Most teachers are also nobles, and that's why nobles get away from any trouble.
I think that how these students who are still not mature are manifesting these politics inside school. And I am is part of no faction. Due to my reputation nobody will approach me. Which is a good point on it's own.
Now it's time for the first class of the first day. I was in class 1-S. It is a class for high rank noble families. Crown Prince was also attending in the class. But still he is a bit too much handsome. I asked for the permission to entered the class from the teacher. It looked like today was the introducing class. Everybody is introducing themselves. One after one, after everyone's turn it was my turn. I perfectly introduced myself.
"My name is Eric Valhard. Third son of Duke Valhard."
That's it. This much for introduction was enough. After a bit, the class was over and teacher left. After all the classes, all the boys and girls gathered near the prince. Crown Prince Fren Cornia is his name. He excels in all fields. I looked at his eyes. For some reason he seemed matured. The boys and girls started their slippery tongue and praised prince for his looks and other features. But the prince was keeping fake smile to their responses. Seeing him made me laugh. Hearing my laughing voice, everybody turned their attention to me. Then a boy among them angrily said me
"How dare you laugh in front of his highness?"
I once again giggled a bit. I stood up from my seat and came near the prince. I took a chair from front and sat in front of prince. Then I said
"Prince Fren it looks like politics between kids is fun. Don't you agree?"
Prince looked into my eyes and smiled. Then I stood up and said
"Let's have a nice chat sometime. Politics will take a time to finish. So see you seen."
I departed from classroom.
PRINCE FREN POV
I am once again bored. There is nothing interesting. And the boys and girls are surrounding me and are praising me with their slippery tongue in order to gain my favor. And because of my status I have keep this fake smile to show them gratitude. By the way, why that boy is looking towards here? What was his name? Mmm. If I recall it was Eric Valhard. Everyone call him slacker because he is lazy.
Then suddenly that Eric boy laughed. I thought why he is laughing. Then a boy said him that how he dare to laugh in presence of me. That Eric boy once again giggled a bit. He stood up from his seat and came near. He took a chair from the front and sat in front of me. Then looking into my eyes said
"Prince Fren it looks like politics between kids is fun. Don't you agree?"
I was shocked. Eric Valhard, who is this guy? He could see my fake smile and saw through my intentions. He is not like the rumors. I thought of replying but smiled instead. He stood up and then said to meet next time for a chat.
This boy Eric Valhard, is not what he seems to be. It seems like school life will be a bit fun.
ERIC POV
After the clash with prince, I thought of meeting with headmaster. I entered the room. He was sitting doing some paperwork. I asked if he needed help. He gave a bunch and after a bit, paperwork was done. Then I told him about the prince. And the headmaster knew before me that prince is not ordinary. He is more mature that his age. Then I told him to arrange me the dorm room with prince.
One of the rules of magic academy was that everyone will stay in dorms. And in one room is shared by two people. And I asked the old baldy(headmaster) to make me the room partner of prince. He reluctantly agreed. Then I started thinking of ideas to talk to test the prince. While I was leaving, the headmaster stopped me. I asked
"What's the Matter?"
"I want you to tell me how my intimidate skill was flawed."
Then I told him that he should be able makes all intimidate to one point. Before when he used it, the skill was unevenly spread. It may work for multi opponents. But if you are against a single opponent then you should be to do that. Then the power of intimidate will more than orginal.
He thanked me and told me to come tomorrow. He have something important to talk. I agreed. Then I departed.
Now after all works are complete, it is time to see prince's IQ level.
