Now, what Xue had said got Ren Jing's attention. He sat up and actually shifted till his back touched and rested on the pillow that Xue had set for him.
"What happened? What are you talking about?" Ren asked. Why was it that things were always coming up about Du? It had happened in her former class, it had happened with Su Na, and now, Xue was about to talk about another one. This was getting too much for Ren to handle. He could not begin to imagine what it was about. He looked at Xue and listened intently to what she was about to say.

Ren was so impatient and it wasn't because of Xue, it was because of the fact that he wanted to hear what people were ayin about his daughter. It had become too much for Ren.
