Jay and Phoenix hastily made their way to the main headquarters like a blazing train. And reached the headquarters. They were hurled into an express lift which put them directly to the topmost floor without stopping.
Even hastily they opened the door. And behind the door was a chilling scene as if the temperature of the room had dropped into negative. As before the head was another scientist. Reporting before him. It seems something had happened.
As soon as they entered the King dismissed the scientist and he left with a face full of guilt, remorse and fear.
King :
Both of you. This is an urgent mission topmost priority.
Jay :
A mission already.
King :
You're eating here for free. So you must do your share.
King :
I will only say the detail once. So liste carefully.
In the south from here there is a research facility which were experimenting some non harmful research on specimens.
AND they managed to escape from their confines and started killing everyone. There are still a many researchers hiding from the specimens.
Both of you will be going there and perform a rescue operation. And if possible imprison the specimen.
You will receive further details when you reach there.
AND with the same speed of lightning they left the building to the lab for the rescue operations.
Phoenix :
At first I used to do this with my senior Roy. And I would be tensed since his method of working was much more brutal.
You know once we were on cult duty.
And instead of destroying their cult he killed all of them even those who wanted to leave the cult. Slashed all of their necks with his sword.
Jay :
What problem you have with cults.
Phoenix :
Cults are a plague to our society. Even if there are gods they still want to worship false gods under false pretenses.
They manipulate people and lead them astray against their own humanity.
And turn them into puppets known as devotees so attached that they never be freed from the cult.
AND with a few words of back and forth they reached their destination at an abondoned cabin in the woods. And a scientist waiting nearby. Almost trying not to bite his nails.
He was in deep stress waiting for reinforcement to arrive.

An anomaly is a presence which doesn't belong to the lands. They are different from regular humans. Their existence doesn't work according to the rules of the lands. These anomalies are highly dangerous

A man whose presence promotes suicide in the human body. It seems that he has received a curse that activates and promotes suicidal behavior on any living being.
There are no suicidal exceptions have been recorded

Anomaly 2 : Nihility
Name : Fiver. J. Scoreaz
An highly nihilous person whom when interacted with causes a person to loose their purpose in life and lose all hope. All nihility's statements are true and realistic. His words have proven hallucinogenic effects.

Anomaly 3: Her Highness
Name : Queen Natalia the Fifth
A girl from an forgotten bloodline. She boast the ability of mind control. She has a superiority complex and her words causes mind control. A highly effective tool but at a great cost. The mind control method is still under research.

Crush her windpipe. Use helium gas to disable voice
Anomaly 4 : The Plagued.
Name : Grover Benedict
A patient who spreads a deadly disease originally stationed here for research on the disease and it's neutralization.
Cannot move due to being diseased. But causes dead bodies to become reanimated for a short time.

Anomaly 5 : Chaos.
Name : Undisclosed
An apostle of Chaos who yearned for Chaos's power and when he gained the power he turned into an unidentifiabke anomaly. He has willingly entered the area and surrendered himself he hopes to be cured. But no solution has been found yet.

Avoid contact.
Anamoly 6 : Doppelgänger.
Name : No name
Doppelgänger is an entity which commits identity theft. It steals the identity of the person and their clothes down to their genetic level when touched. It even copies the knowledge obtained by the person but when switching to another identity. Its seemed to lost any semblance to the knowledge. The doppelganger Is extremely dangerous and hates and disapproves humanity which became his reason for being captured. He has conducted violent attacks on villages without being caught. He uses his ability with intelligence.
Contingency plan :
Avoid contact. Never let him touch you or escape.
Shoot to kill. Vulnerable to firearms.
Caution :
If in doubt a stab wound would suffice for it to change back to its original form. Use only in emergency situation.
This was the summary of the 6 anomalies who have taken over the facility.
Phoenix contacted his master once again. And confirmed the mission details.
Phoenix :
We need to catch them alive.
Jay :
Why? These are anomalies, why even leave them alive. Look here one has a damn superiority complex.
And one is a literal monster.
New quest : Anomaly hunting.
Rescue the scientist inside the lab and bring the anomalies under control.

Phoenix :
So here is our strategy. Here is the layout of the research facility.
Phoenix opened up a hologram which contained the blueprint of the facility. The facility was divided into 6 levels.
And in each level an anomaly was present. Reigning there
The facility is on total lock down so the anomalies cannot escape or head down to another level.
Jay :
What about the apostle with one touch he can just destroy whatever you have for him.
Researcher :
He is not hostile in fact he himself wants to be here. You won't have a problem with him. We have kept the anomalies on a scale of lethality. The more danger an anomaly is the more deeper it will be
Their order is Chaos, Plague, Highness, Nihility, Suicide and Doppelgänger
Phoenix :
Well we what we can do be rest assured. You can return to the capital.
With this they headed inside the lab. Phoenix touched the control panel and an elevator arrived. The elevator made a chime sound and it could house only two people.
Riding the elevator both of them dived deep into the facility.
Due to the emergency lights the entire room was flashing red.
Phoenix :
Ai shut down the emergency lights and turn on the regular lights.
And so did the Ai it's work and the room was normal again. It was time to search for the anomaly.
Jay :
Should we split and search.
Phoenix :
It's better to stick together for now. Don't you watch horror movies.
Jay :
This one's safe right.
Phoenix :
A research facility in the middle of the woods hidden away from plain sight which is having an outbreak. Very safe right.
Jay:
It sound like something I would have said.
Phoenix :
I wanted to sound like you just once. Just to feel when you point out what's wrong and different from the norms.
And it feels fantabulous.
The oxygen levels in the room were normal. And both of then followed the schematics and reached the anomaly's room.
The door swung open and it was dark but then the room lit up as per Ai' s instructions and in front of them was a mini Kaos.
The anomaly looked similar to Kaos just their heights were different. He was being randomized as he sat on the bed.
Sometimes the bed would become a sofa sometimes a bed of spikes sometimes pure water and so on.
The random amalgamation saw Jay and felt a similarity.

Seeing his state Jay was feeling sympathy for him.
So he sat down and when his hand touched the bed. It stopped glitching and turned into a regular hospital bed.
Seeing this tears came into the child's eyes.

Tears started dropping from his pseudo eyes. These tears would sometimes turn into petrol sometimes miniature cars and sometimes pencils and then they stopped.

I've been here for months, still they haven't been able to do anything .

Before Jay was an practical demonstration of what would happen if he were to use to much Chaos.
Jay :

It shouted loudly.

That's what they all say. All of the adults are nothing but liars. They just want to keep me here.
He started lashing out with his power and the entire structure of the room started changing. It began defragmentkng turning into various different material and elements.
Jay tried to take him into control.
Jay :
Calm down, calm down just believe me.
Jay tried to keep his hand on its shoulders and when he did. It turned into saw blades and then in another instant turmeric. Even if it was chaotic he did have a physical body.
Jay started a feel a surge of power in his veins.
It seems that his power had resonated with it and started drawing power inside him. Jay tried to detach his hands but his hands were stuck.
The chaotic exostsnce had slowly began to turn into human.
As it became less and less chaotic. It seems he had realized it and started pouring his power into Jay.

Phoenix tried to separate them. But due to the Chaos he arm got twisted unnaturally and he was brutally thrown on the ground.
The room began to twist and turn. If this were to continue Jay would become like the child. The boy who had taken form of a normal human with black hair and brown eyes hugged Jay and let open all of his mana channels.
Such a surge of power Jay could feel the push despite and finally Jay was forced to take all the power inside him and the boy was finally free from his power.
It felt Jay's started chest bursting out. He vomited
Phoenix fixed his arm and tried to help Jay.
Phoenix :
You've take tremendous energy in your body on one go. They are remapping with others. Get them under control.
Don't make them collide with mana or lumina's power.
Take a deep breath and compress the energies.
The chaotic energy was trying to get a hold of Jay's body and turn him into the same monstrosity. As him.
Jay slowly let out his mana outside which gave the space for the chaos and confine it.
While the boy was having difficulties breathing for when Chaos left it did a number to his body. And there were blockages in the lungs.
Jay :
I'm fine, tend to him.
Phoenix :
I'm not a doctor.
Phoenix thought long and hard about what can he do.
Most of the doctors have been either killed or rescued and they are miles away. Getting any hospitalization if a good hour away from here. And the nearest village is at least half an hour.
Seeing his condition he will not last more than 3 minutes.
Both of us don't have enough medical knowledge or practice to perform surgical procedure.
There is an amniotic tank which allows oxygen to directly enter the blood. But it's directly on the second floor.
But below the floor is plague.
It's risky but not impossible.
Phoenix :
Jay open a hole directly under me.
Jay :
I have no mana. I'm using chaos to do this.
Jay touched the floor and unleashed the chaos into the floor the area under Phoenix was targeted and the floor under him turned into scallops and cod liver oil. With this Phoenix slipped through the floor with the child in his hands and he slipped on the slimy and wet organs. His entire clothes had gotten dirty but still he picked it up and ran towards the amniotic chamber.
The amniotic chambers and the chamber of the plague is at a different location. So it was possible to enter the chamber and put him in the amniotic flask and start the machine.
Electricity was running through the facility.
The amniotic chamber was filled with special fluid and liquid oxygen. As Phoenix started the operations the fluid seeped into his body.
The boy's mouth and nose was blocked to block inflow of the fluid and with this he was saved temporarily.
Meanwhile Jay had finally finished compartmentalizing all of the energy dispelling and ejecting excess that he couldn't handle.
With this the first anomaly had been dealt with.
