Silas stared into the mirror with anguish.
He wanted to wear his usual suit and tie. However, he knew Ethan would make him change into something more suited for the 'risqué' club he was meant to attend tonight.
So here he was dressed in black jeans with a white button up. It wasn't quite club attire but it was the most risqué he was willing to dress.
He growled as he heard his door open.
"Siiiiiiiiiiiiiii~" A man's voice sang from the doorway.
Silas glared back to find Ethan running towards him.
Ethan wore ripped jeans and a button down silk shirt that had so much gold on it it was hard to look at. His silver hair was messy and contrasted with his hazel eyes.
"It's been so long!" The silver haired man threw his arms around Silas in a tight hug.
Silas stood and stared at the silver haired man.
He was sure last time he had seen Ethan, his hair was dyed red.
"Your hair." Silas commented.
Ethan stroked a hand through his hair.
"Ah you like it? Silver is all the rage these days. I dyed it a couple weeks ago." Ethan boasted.
"You look like an old man." Silas responded.
Ethan gaped.
"What! No I dont!" He rushed to the mirror to admire his hair.
"I'll have you know I've got nothing but compliments on my hair." The man frowned, spinning towards Silas.
Ethan paused as he appraised Silas.
His lips curved down.
"I thought I told you risqué." Ethan pouted gesturing towards his own attire as an example.
Silas looked down. He believed this attire was acceptable.
"This is the most risqué I'm willing to dress." Silas responded.
Ethan sighed.
"Fine let me just-" Ethan moved towards Silas and quickly grabbed his sleeves.
He rolled them up past the elbows and quickly fastened the button.
"There all good! It's all about the forearms man. Ladies love the forearms." Ethan chimed patting Silas on the shoulder.
Silas glared at the bareskin of his arms.
"I'm not trying to impress any women tonight." He deadpanned ready to roll his sleeves back down.
Ethan glanced up at him with puppy dog eyes.
"I need a wingman tonight. Please let me have this~" Ethan pleaded with a pouty face.
Silas sighed.
"Fine." He exhaled and turned to exit the room.
Ethan pumped his fist in triumph.
"Did you eat yet?" Ethan asked as he followed him out of the room.
"No-" Silas began.
"Great! I got us a table over at my new favorite restaurant. It's super delicious. Let's go!" Ethan chirped, hurrying out the door.
Silas grunted as he followed the energetic man.
Silas exited the silver Porsche and looked up at the fancy restaurant.
He has heard of the five star restaurant but had never taken the time to go out.
He nodded in approval.
He would need to take Vivian here sometime.
"Fancy right~?" Ethan elbowed Silas to gauge his reaction.
"Acceptable." Silas responded curtly.
Ethan let out an amused laugh.
"Not as energetic as I'd like but I'll take it you approve. Come on!" Ethan laughed as he threw his keys to the valet.
The two men entered the restaurant, the soft piano filling their ears with decadent music.
Ethan walked up to the host.
"Reservation under Hanson. A booth in the back please." Ethan slipped the host a few bills.
The host nodded as he gestured for the two men to follow him towards the back of the restaurant.
The booths were quiet and separated, allowing for VIP guests to maintain privacy.
Silas glanced at the other booths and paused as recognition of a familiar blond head drew his eyes.
Silas grew icy and his eyes narrowed.
Ethan noticed the temperature drop and followed Silas' gaze.
"Ah isn't that your brother?" Ethan piped louder than he intended.
The blond head raised and stormy gray met glacier blue as the brothers locked eyes.
The electricity between the two left the entire restaurant with their hairs standing on end.
The two brothers glared at one another for a moment.
The time dragged out for millenia before gray eyes broke away from the staring contest.
Drazen chuckled as he sent a quick text to the red haired woman who had left to the powder room, telling her to stay and wait for him at the restroom.
Drazen gathered his things as he sauntered over to his still glaring brother.
Silas narrowed his eyes at the incoming serpent.
"Older brother. What brings you here this evening? Finally taking a break from work?" Drazen drawled as he approached.
Silas growled.
"Drazen." Silas acknowledged, ice lacing his tone.
"Long time no see. What brings you here Drazen? Bring another victim to dinner?" Ethan interrupted, sensing Silas' irritation.
Drazen looked over at his companion with disinterest.
"Why yes. I do have a companion this evening. Next stop is a hotel if you were dying to know." Drazen countered with a chuckle.
Drazen accessed Ethan.
"I see you dyed your hair again. Trying to appear older I see." Drazen mocked with a cold smile.
Silas hardened his gaze.
Ethan was about to respond when Silas silenced him.
"Enough. We've come to have a nice evening, and I believe my brother has other things to attend to." Silas growled.
Drazen chuckled.
"Dear brother you know me too well. I do have a lady in waiting to attend this evening so I'll bid you farewell for now. See you at the next family dinner, dear brother." Drazen chuckled and waved as he set out to find Vivian.
Silas glowered at his brother in disdain.
"You cut me off before I had a chance to defend my hair." Ethan pouted as he plopped down in the booth.
Silas sighed.
"Drazen is relentless and loves to press buttons. He doesn't know when to stop, and if I let him speak another word we may have been here for hours." Silas explained taking his seat across from the wronged man.
"Yeah, but you could have let me get the last word." Ethan grumbled, playing with his hair.
"I'm dyeing it back to red on Monday." He grunted.
Silas couldn't stop the small chuckle that escaped his lips.
Ethan shot up with wide eyes.
"Did you just laugh at me!" Ethan cried.
Silas turned his head to hide his amused smile.
"Of course not. Let's get our dinner ordered." Silas responded, picking up the menu.
"No I definitely heard you laugh! Do you really think I look like an old man too?" Ethan pressed.
"Is the lobster any good here? What do you usually get?" Silas avoided the outraged man across from him.
"Don't change the subject!" Ethan probed.
Silas set his attention to the menu and refused to acknowledge the hacker.
Ethan sighed, realizing he would not get an answer from his friend.
He picked up the menu as he perused the contents.
He was definitely dyeing his hair back on Monday.
Vivian stood by the bathroom, waiting for her lover.
She sighed as she checked the time on her phone again.
"Why do I need to wait here?" She hissed under her breath, tapping her foot impatiently.
She felt a weight drape around her shoulders and looked up to find the blond man she was waiting for.
"Sorry my dear. We had some unexpected guests." Drazen soothed as he covered her with his jacket.
Vivian narrowed her green orbs.
"Guests?" She inquired, irritation blatant in her tone.
Drazen chuckled.
"My brother decided to have an outing this evening." Drazen explained, clearly amused.
Vivian's eyes went wide as she attempted to peek around the corner.
"That boring man? An outing? No way! Is he with a woman? He hasn't even taken me here yet!" Vivian hissed as she tried to peek at the booths.
Drazen grabbed her and pulled her away from eyesight.
"Viv, do I need to remind you how important it is that you aren't seen with me? How can you get close to Silas if he discovers you here with me tonight?" Drazen warned with cold eyes.
Vivian was burning with rage.
"Who cares! I want to know who the woman is that he would bring here! How dare he take her here and not me!" Vivian huffed indignantly.
Electricity crackled as Drazen took Vivian's chin in a tight grip.
His eyes were dark, a stormy cloud as he forced Vivian to look at him.
"I care my dear. And you would be wise not to throw away our months of hard work over something trivial." He cautioned, threat looming in his words.
Vivian was shocked and a shiver went down her spine.
She had never seen Drazen that serious before and she was terrified of this side of him.
Drazen dropped her chin.
"He's here with an old friend of his. Nothing more. And no women." He further informed the red head.
Vivian nodded, the feeling of fear still tickling her spine.
"I guess we'll have to find a new spot to meet up, this one has been compromised it seems. Now then, let's make our way to the hotel my dear. I still have to give you your gift after all." Drazen switched back to his charming self as he pushed Vivian towards the back exit.
All thoughts of fear dropped from Vivians mind as greed replaced it.
"Of course darling." She smiled with excitement as Drazen led her to the hotel.
"Good girl." Drazen chuckled, relieved that Vivian was too greedy and self centered to notice his slip.
