The day was cloudy, the air crisp and chilly, sending shivers through the people of Bengaluru. Yet despite the weather, tens of thousands entered the parliament grounds, with people from all over the empire coming to witness the mysterious event announced by His Majesty.
The entire area around the parliament was cordoned off with the parade road before the great idol of Lord Ram being packed with people streaming into the grounds, while along the footpaths, hawkers sold fast food, children's toys, and banners bearing slogans in support of the Emperor.
