Knock! Knock! Knock!
"Miss Williams."
A firm, steady voice called from the other side of the door.
"Ugh…"
Avery groaned, burying her face deeper into her pillow. She had barely gotten a decent night's sleep, and whoever was knocking on her door had apparently decided that the sun being up was reason enough to ruin hers.
"Miss Williams, I have a report regarding yesterday's announcement and the current financial situation concerning the Tournament of Power."
"Go away and let me sleep…"
"I'm afraid that's not possible, Miss Williams. I have several matters that require your attention, including a meeting with the governor of the capital city and documents that need your signature before the tournament preparations can proceed."
The young hero groans louder, her sleep is being ruined by whoever is out there. "Then postpone them."
"Miss Williams."
