Chapter 51 - Lightning Hunt

The golden eagle soared over the rugged hills and thunderclouds gathered like an omen.

Lucky and Laxus landed in a remote valley. The place felt alive with electricity the air was dense, buzzing. Trees were split in half, rocks scorched black.

"This is it," Laxus said, lightning faintly crackling around his fingers.

Lucky summoned his Wind Wolves to scout. It didn't take long one came running back with a tattered feather nearly as long as Lucky's arm. Massive claw marks dug into the cliffs nearby.

"We're close," Lucky said.

————————————————————

Without warning, a massive Thunder Bird swooped down from the clouds.

It was the size of a bus, with storm-charged feathers and eyes like lightning. The sky cracked with thunder as it shrieked.

Lucky immediately panicked And Wrote AIR by mistake.

Solid Script: [AIR – Cage]  The Word AIR streatched and became the shape of a cage of compressed air erupted around the beast, trapping it mid-strike.

Solid Script: [Hard CHAIN]Glowing runes twisted into serrated links, lashing toward its wings.

He also summoned multiple summons quickly Fire salamander, wind Elemnts and Spirit Foxe and Iron Golem.

But none of it worked.

The bird erupted in lightning, evaporating the magical cage instantly. It dodged the chains and sent a thunderous bolt straight at Lucky, who was protected by the iron golem.

"Too fast!" Lucky hissed.

He fired [FIRE LANCE] directly at the bird.

It missed. Completely.

Then Laxus stepped forward, his expression sharp.

Lightning clashed against lightning as the two forces collided midair.

Crackles of energy exploded around them. Laxus and the Thunder Bird matched speed and strength in a raw display of power.

————————————————————

Realizing he couldn't win this head-on, Lucky switched tactics.

He raised the terrain with [STONE wall] to funnel the bird's movement.

Then he used Solid Script: [FIRE– TRACK] to interrupt the Thunder Bird's flight path.

He summoned clones, syncing them to coordinate spells, distract the bird, and protect Laxus.

But the bird grew more aggressive lightning gathered like a storm cloud, and then it left the clones and dived toward Lucky.

"Not good!"

The beast struck. Lucky barely rolled aside. His robe singed, his hair sparking.

In that moment, he realized something terrifying:

He might get one shoted right at this moment

Just before the Thunder Bird could land a finishing blow

Laxus appeared.

One punch. Lightning surged.

The Thunder Bird dropped from the sky, twitching.

This made Lucky have a huge sigh of Relief 'Safeee'

Lucky had A really cold Sweat becuase this is not anime so if he dies he dies

"As expected," he said aloud, a grin tugging at his lips.

Laxus paused mid-fight. "What's that supposed to mean?!"

Lucky blinked. "Huh?"

"You said 'as expected'what, because I'm Makarov's grandson?" Laxus barked.

Confused, Lucky tilted his head. "No? I said that because you're strong. Way too strong for your age" then lucky thought 'unless you're cheating like me.'

Laxus froze.

Lucky continued with a knowing smirk. "When I display sufficient strength and achievements, others will naturally respect me.

From how you were before, disliking being called 'Grandfather's grandson,' you probably felt that others didn't see your efforts, only knowing you as 'Grandfather's grandson.'

But you have to consider, Grandfather spent decades to achieve his current strength, achievements, and status. Since you don't yet have the same strength, achievements, or status, isn't it perfectly normal for people to think of your grandfather the first time they hear about you?

To escape this situation, you must strive to become stronger and do better. When you become one of the Ten Wizard Saints, or even surpass the Ten Wizard Saints, who will still say you're 'Grandfather's grandson'? Perhaps then, others will say, 'Makarov is actually your grandfather!'"

Laxus stared at him, eyes widening.

Something flickered in his gaze recognition, perhaps.

The Thunder Bird lay i think dead, sparking and growling.

Lucky walked up carefully and got the Loot card then him choose the First option

Lucky turned to him. "Still don't want a summon?"

lucky summoned it the thudrer bird was there it was slighlty smaller but it was there.

Laxus"...."

Laxus was speechless but then

Laxus grinned faintly. "This one's mine."

He caught the card Lucky tossed him.

They returned to Magnolia with the massive thunderbird flying overhead in summon form. The entire guild watched in awe.

Cana dropped her drink. Erza looked impressed. Gray whistled.

Laxus crossed his arms, standing beside Lucky.

"…You're not weak," he said quietly, almost shyly.

Lucky smiled. "Thanks."

then Laxus bolted out of here with his new Companion

Lucky rolled his eyes.

After the guild calmed down, Lucky made his way back to the forest.

It was late, but he still wanted to make use of the remaining time.

He summoned 10 clones this time. Just ten.

"Alright, grind time," he said.

"Again?" one clone groaned.

"You were just cuddling a lightning bird!" another whined.

Lucky smirked. "This time's important. We're going to boost my maximum mana."

Lucky then turned serious and looked at his clone "You guys know why is in my mind we will not be going on a mission for a while after all today was a close call"

Lucky sighed and said "Let us have a week of pure trainig ark and The evoluition for the Eagle should be done bu this time"

The clones grumbled, but they obeyed.

They all sat down in meditation stances, starting their mana recovery cycles while Lucky activated Hunger Domain, allowing himself to draw their restored mana into his own reserves. It was a boring process at first but with the upgraded skill level, it was significantly faster than before.

Lucky stayed with them the entire night. The clones meditated, recovered, and pushed their limits. Over and over again, Lucky stole back their mana, surged his own limit forward, and repeated the process.

By the time morning came, he had done this loop hundreds of times.

He opened his status with shaking hands and grinned.

"Heh… not bad."

He glanced at his remaining clones, most still meditating. "Alright. Get back to work. Today, we grind even harder."

The clones groaned again, but he could already feel their shared will syncing up.

Lucky's eyes shone.
