Rather, it was there to act as the Final Boss, the last and biggest bout of despair thrown in Aurora's way, justifying her sacrifice as inevitable.

In this new iteration, however, the seemingly unchangeable script did indeed change.
'There is still a chance.'
Although Leo had failed to obtain the kind of absolute power that could stand in the World Conqueror's way, the circumstances of his descent were vastly different.
Due to the existential shock that he had received just by being in the World Conqueror's presence, Leo had failed to understand the crux of the matter.
