When Great General Dugu Wudi arrived at the Jun Family's residence with hundreds of guards behind him, he did something unexpected: he actually followed formalities and requested an audience.

The seven idiots he called his sons and nephews? Oh, they had no such scruples. Those brats stormed in like wild horses as if they were robbing a treasury instead of kidnapping a single person. But young men were impulsive, reckless, and stupid—that could at least be excused.

Dugu Wudi, on the other hand, was different. He was the foremost general of the Tianxiang Kingdom, and despite his legendary temper, even he couldn't just barge into another noble family's home like a damn bandit.

With a deep, frustrated sigh, Dugu Wudi strode into the Jun residence, his boots hitting the ground with a heavy, imposing rhythm. His massive frame radiated authority, and as he locked eyes with Jun Mo Xie, his aura flared up like a raging bonfire.

The brat stood there, calm and composed, with a smile that made Dugu Wudi's fists itch. He wasn't even trying to act scared!

'How can this general not get angry after seeing how you've played fast and loose with my daughter? Just wait and see how I sort you out, you little bastard!' Dugu Wudi seethed internally.

But then he suddenly noticed something.

'Eh?'

Where was the courtyard gate behind Jun Mo Xie?

The General blinked. The gate? The gate that was standing tall just this morning? Gone! It had vanished, leaving behind nothing but splintered wood and destruction.

The realization struck him.

"Those damn seven sons of a bitch... they did this, didn't they?! Those little bastards are in for a world of hurt!" Dugu Wudi's face turned red with fury.

He had made it very clear that they were supposed to quietly snatch Jun Mo Xie without causing trouble. And yet, somehow, these idiots had managed to demolish the damn gate before even laying a finger on the kid?!

How did everything go so horribly wrong?!

Despite knowing the answer, Dugu Wudi still felt the need to confirm it. He turned to Jun Mo Xie, who, to his growing irritation, was still smiling like a fox that had just robbed a chicken coop.

"So it turns out Uncle Dugu has honored me with a visit," Jun Mo Xie greeted, his voice smooth as silk. He even bowed politely, making it impossible to scold him outright. "Seeing you has truly made my day. Please, come in!"

He gestured with a sweeping motion as if he was the host welcoming Dugu Wudi into his own damn house.

Dugu Wudi stomped into the courtyard, his eyes sweeping across the scene—what he saw made him suck in a breath so sharply he nearly choked.

What in the actual fuck had happened here?!

His seven sons and nephews… seven grown-ass men, warriors who had fought on battlefields and were feared across the kingdom… were all sprawled out like dead fish!

Lying on the ground, snoring like pigs!

Their clothes were wrinkled, their hair was a mess, and their faces were still flushed red from what was very clearly not battle but alcohol poisoning.

For a long moment, Dugu Wudi was speechless. His fingers twitched. His breathing grew heavy.

These bastards had broken into Jun Mo Xie's home to kidnap him… and instead got piss-drunk and passed out?!

His rage finally exploded.

"YOU IDIOTS!" Dugu Wudi roared. "YOU GOOD-FOR-NOTHINGS! DID YOU BREAK INTO SOMEONE'S HOUSE JUST TO THROW A FUCKING DRINKING PARTY?!"

Jun Mo Xie, still grinning like the devil, chuckled. "The seven elder brothers saw that my family's wine collection was quite good and, well… they drank a little too much, haha."

Dugu Wudi turned to him, his eyes practically spitting fire.

"Good wine? A little too much?!" He repeated, his voice rising. "Is this their first time drinking?! Are they five-year-olds?! What kind of warriors get so drunk they pass out mid-mission?!" He gritted his teeth. "Ptui! Is this how I raised these useless bastards?! Show me the way!"

He was about to storm forward, but then suddenly halted. He turned sharply, his eyes narrowing at Jun Mo Xie.

His expression darkened.

And then, jabbing a thick finger at the young man, he thundered, "Kid, I'm warning you right now—STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!"

His voice echoed through the courtyard.

"I'll let you off this time out of respect for your father and your Third Uncle," He growled, "but if there is a next time, I swear I will tear you into pieces and feed you to the dogs!"

Jun Mo Xie, completely unfazed, tilted his head with a thoughtful expression. Then, very slowly, he reached out with his hand and thrust a finger right back at Dugu Wudi.

His voice, though calm, carried an unmistakable sharpness.

"Old man!" Jun Mo Xie sneered. "I don't care if you're the imperial court's infamous pain-in-the-ass—you do not get to act like some big shot in my house!"

His eyes gleamed with dangerous amusement. "And let me warn you right now: tell your daughter to stop bothering me!"

Dugu Wudi's face darkened like a thundercloud.

Jun Mo Xie smirked.

"But you know what? I'll let this slide… for now," he said, his voice dripping with mockery. "After all, our two families are friends, right?" He took a step forward, his grin widening. "But if there's a next time… I'll make sure you become my son's maternal grandfather!"

Silence.

It was pure, dead silence.

The guards standing behind Dugu Wudi froze, their expressions twisting as they desperately tried not to laugh.

Dugu Wudi himself… looked as if he had just swallowed a live snake. His entire face twitched, his nostrils flared, and the veins on his forehead bulged.

"Y-you… YOU DAMN BRAT!" He raised a hand, ready to slap Jun Mo Xie into next week.

Jun Mo Xie didn't even flinch.

Instead, he simply stood there, hands behind his back, still smirking.

Dugu Wudi's palm halted mid-air.

It was at that exact moment he realized—this damn brat had provoked him on purpose!

The realization made his blood pressure skyrocket.

Dugu Wudi sucked in a breath and clenched his fists. If he beat up Jun Mo Xie right now, Jun Zhan Tian would absolutely murder him in broad daylight.

He gritted his teeth so hard it was a miracle they didn't crack.

"…Get those bastards up," he finally ground out, his voice low and dangerous. "Now."

Jun Mo Xie merely chuckled. "But Uncle Dugu, they're sleeping so soundly!"

"NOW!!"
