The next morning, Gu Ningyue was woken up by the alarm clock.
Outside, the sky was overcast, and the window had been blown open by the wind at some point. A slightly damp breeze drifted in, causing her to shiver involuntarily.
Getting up to close the window, Gu Ningyue looked at the increasingly heavy clouds in the sky, and her originally good mood turned a bit somber.
"Looks like things won't go too smoothly today!"
Picking up the clothes she planned to wear, she went into the bathroom. While applying medicine, Gu Ningyue suddenly remembered that she needed to go for a check-up.
With so much going on, she had even forgotten about that.
After changing her clothes, she went downstairs to find Ling Tianyou already sitting at the table having breakfast.
"Good morning."
"Good morning."
Aunt Zhang carried over freshly cooked white rice porridge, her smile seemingly unaffected by the weather, still as warm as ever: "Good morning, Young Madam."
