At dawn the next day, Ling Tianyou was awakened by his phone alarm.
He glanced at the time and, for the first time, didn't get up immediately but instead lay in bed for another ten minutes before finally getting up and opening the curtains.
The bright morning sunlight instantly poured into the room, bathing him and fully waking up the somewhat groggy Ling Tianyou.
Twenty minutes later, Ling Tianyou changed his clothes and went downstairs.
