The press conference was postponed for a few more days to let China and the US to recover from the darkness fragment attacks. The press conference will be held in the HA Academy to accommodate the number of people that will be attending. I was waiting with Flint and my sister in my office for them to call us.
"Are you fidgeting Flint? Are you that nervous?"-Demetri.
"Well, talking to crowds was not really my forte, it makes me nervous, especially knowing that this will be shown worldwide, what if I say something wrong or if I stutter"-Flint.
"Don't worry I'm here, if you need help explaining just tug my shirt or address me"-Demetri.
"Okay, okay, thanks"-Flint.
"How about you Diana, how are you feeling?"-Demetri.
"A little scared too, I mean I never been in one of this you know, the largest crowd I was in presenting was a play in high school, this is very different from that, this is aired all around the world"-Diana.
"Sorry for putting you up to this"-Demetri.
"No, it's okay, me being awake and for the whole world to see will spark hope for everybody who is in the same situation as I am before and for their love ones too"-Diana.
I smiled at the answer of Diana because she was right, this is hope for people who are losing it in this times.
We didn't wait for long, and we heard a knock on the door, when I opened it, it was Jack telling us that the press conference was about to start. We follow him from behind, Flint still fidgeting while Diana hold my hand and squeeze it because of the tension. Before we reach the room, Flint and I wear our mask. I already told the two about it and why I was doing this, and they understood why. Flint insist on wearing one too while when I ask Diana she said that she will not wear one so that people can see what the cure can do, and how healthy she is than before.
We sat on the set table on the stage, beside us, Joel will be joining us and two more of his colleague doctors. In front of us was the three prepared cure for today's conference. Joel was the one who started the talking, while he was doing the introduction, I look at Flint who was shaking in nervousness, I cast a spell on him to calm his nerves, I think it help he stop shaking and his breathing becomes normal.
"How's that? How are you feeling?"-Demetri.
"A lot better thanks, that spell helped, you should have done that earlier"-Flint.
"It only comes to my mind now"-Demetri.
When Joel was done with the introductions, he handed the mic to me so I can continue where he left.
"Thank you honored guests and the press for attending this conference for another breakthrough we discovered and just like Doctor Joel said, we found the cure for the Eternal Slumber"-Demetri.
Some of the press started raising their hands and blurting out their questions but I just signaled my hand upwards, a signal for silence and I'm glad everybody obliged and the room was now only filled with the sound of flashes of camera and a few murmur.
"We will entertain every question you have later, but first let us introduce to you the cure we all have been hoping for"-Demetri.
I reach for one of the vial and show it to the press, and continue on talking.
"This is an elixir, the cure we have found for the eternal slumber, to further explain this, I am passing the mic to Mr. Fae"-Demetri.
I handed the mic to Flint, and with his new found confidence thanks to my calming spell, he went on confidently explaining the elixir to the world. He explained how the elixir help the person who is affected by the eternal slumber not just by waking them up but also restore back the life energy that they were losing bit by bit, that's why when they were awaken up, they look like just like they woke up from a nap.
"I can feel that some of you are still doubting, that's why we invited Ms. Diana, the first one to be awaken by the elixir from eternal slumber as a testament"-Demetri.
Diana stand up and the flashes of camera increases that it's already blinding. Flint hand over the mic to Diana so she can give a few speech, but she waited for the cameras flashes died down a bit.
"I am Diana Buentaventura, the very first one to be awaken by this elixir, replace your doubts with hope because the cure works and I am the living testament of it and I thank everyone especially that very special person to me for not giving up on me"-Diana.
Diana look at me and smile. After her speech she sat down and the two doctors that are with Joel are now the ones who are speaking explaining the awakening of Diana from the eternal slumber in scientific truth. After the scientific explanation, the answering of the question of press started.
"How did you find the way to create this cure?"-Press 1.
"From the Journal of my sister, she's the one who started the study on finding the cure we just finished it"-Flint
"Where is she now?"-Press 1.
"We can't answer that, next question?"-Demetri.
"Are you going to make the ingredients and how to make the elixir public?"-Press 2.
"No, we will not, because there are some ingredients that only we can provide"- Demetri.
"Then are you saying that the production of this elixir will be solely your responsible"-Press 3.
"Yes, and we will distribute the elixir for free"-Flint.
The noise from the crowd increases because what just Flint said, maybe because the crowd expected that the cure will not be free.
"Are you really offering the elixir for free?"-Press 4.
"Yes, this kind of thing should not be profited because waking up the people from eternal slumber also benefits us"-Demetri.
"What do you mean by that?"-Press 5.
"We cannot elaborate that yet because we are still investigating it"-Demetri.
We answered every question we can answer until the end of the press conference.
