Chapter 1 - Birth

There was a woman sitting in a rocking chair. She rocked back and forth while staring at a wall. There didn't seem to be anything on the wall, but the woman's eyes were shining, as if images were being projected on that empty surface.

"Pollution and wars reached their final climax. Climate change was drastic. On a normal day, temperatures reached 100°C. Humans could barely leave their homes, where air-conditioned environments protected them. The few who could venture out wore special suits, similar to astronaut gear, to control their temperature. The population, once a staggering 14 billion people, had dwindled to a meager 70 million. The animals, once abundant, suffered greatly, and only a few managed to survive. The world was dying..."

"On a day when the temperatures reached record highs, a solar explosion engulfed the planet. The world caught fire. The Earth cracked open, earthquakes erupted, and hurricanes formed. Humans died uncontrollably, reaching the brink of extinction. But then, something illusory happened..."

A mountain rose from the cracks in the Earth, emerging from its core. It took the shape of a giant woman. The woman looked at the devastation and said:

"STUPID HUMANS. EVEN AFTER DESTROYING THE EARTH, YOU DIDN'T STOP POLLUTING AND CONTINUED YOUR WORTHLESS WARS. YOU DESERVED COMPLETE EXTINCTION, BUT... YOU WERE CREATED BY THE SUPERIOR GOD. I CANNOT ALLOW YOUR ANNIHILATION. I WILL PASS MY ESSENCE TO THIS WORLD, AND IT WILL BECOME A SUPERIOR WORLD. HOWEVER, YOU WHO HAVE REMAINED ALIVE UNTIL THIS DAY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS SITUATION AND, THEREFORE, WILL NOT RECEIVE MY ESSENCE."

After these words, the woman began to slowly transform into a mist that spread across the entire Earth. The hurricanes ceased, the earthquakes stopped, and the crack in the Earth closed. The humans who had died that day were revived. The Earth, which had been dead, began to regenerate. Huge trees and plants emerged from the ruins of the destroyed skies. The oceans, which had been dry, began to fill again. Extinct animals resurfaced. But... something was different. Something that humans couldn't understand at that moment.

"A baby... No, all the babies born after the woman's influence had something special about them. A kind of power..."

"And it is this power that you possess."

The woman telling the story had an empty gaze. She looked at her belly and gently caressed it with her hands as she spoke.

"And after this discovery, humans..."

Thump thump (sounds of footsteps)

The woman's eyes stopped glowing, and she paused her story, beginning to hum with a happy expression.

The door opened, and a man appeared:

"My dear, how is our baby?"

The man placed his hand on the woman's belly, trying to sense any changes in the baby.

The woman stopped humming and replied:

"I don't know, darling. I think he's fine. He's been kicking a lot."

She looked innocently at her belly.

The man nodded, looking at his wife.

Two months later...

'Nheeee. Nheeee.'

"He's born!! He's born!!"

Exclaimed the man, seeing his son cry for the first time.

The woman, who had suffered through childbirth, looked relieved as she saw that the baby had been born without any problems.

"It's a boy, apparently healthy. Congratulations."

Said the midwife, as she finished her work.

The man, the father of the child, had a wrinkled face, dark brown eyes, white hair from age, and several small scars on his face. He wore a black cloak that covered most of his body, but it was still possible to see some visible scars on his hands.

He had a robust and muscular build, but what stood out most was a kind of subtle wind that seemed to surround him, making certain things happen with his body. He appeared to be around 80 years old.

"Jasmine, my dear, it's a boy, so I choose the name!" Said the man, ecstatic about the birth of his son.

Jasmine, the mother, had pale white skin, long silvery-gray hair, and blue eyes. Despite her tired appearance, she was incredibly beautiful. She was lying in a simple bed, a sheet trying to cover her body, and she appeared to be about 30 years old.

Jasmine didn't respond. She kept her eyes fixed on the baby, observing every detail, looking for any imperfection.

The midwife, who appeared to be about 60 years old, was short with a slightly curved waist and short gray hair. She held the crying baby and then turned to the woman.

"I'll leave you two alone. Please, don't forget to feed the baby."

She handed the baby to Jasmine and left the room.

Jasmine then took the baby in her arms.

The baby had jet-black eyes, very dark, silver hair, similar to Jasmine's, and pale white skin, showing that he had inherited most of his mother's features.

Jasmine prepared to breastfeed, but before she could, something strange happened. An unusual wind began to move toward the baby and surrounded him. It was a colorful wind, like a translucent rainbow. The wind stayed around the baby for a few seconds but was soon expelled. Jasmine was startled by this. The wind returned and was expelled again. This process continued, the wind appearing and disappearing in sync with the baby's breathing. Jasmine squinted her eyes; she could faintly see the wind, even though she was face-to-face with the baby.

Jasmine then looked at her husband, frightened.

"Hugo!"

Hugo's eyes focused on the baby, analyzing the wind around him.

"It looks like the Earth's breath is awakening in our baby, but so soon? Usually, this happens weeks or months after birth, sometimes even years."

Jasmine looked at Hugo, worried, but with a small, subtle smile on her face.

Hugo then had a thoughtful look.

"Don't worry, Jasmine. This just means our son is someone very talented for awakening so early!"

Jasmine looked at the baby and watched the colorful, translucent wind appear and disappear with his breathing. She knew what that wind was. It was something every living being in the world possessed. But she hadn't expected it to awaken so early, especially in a newborn. It was unusual.

She looked deeply at the baby and began to breastfeed him.

Hugo approached the mother and child with an expectant look on his face and said:

"His name will be Daves."

Some time later...

Daves was two years old when he started to wriggle out of his crib.

He grabbed the mattress and jumped, landing on the floor.

It was the first time Daves had managed to escape from his crib. He looked around. The room was large. Next to his crib was a large bed where his parents slept. The bed was made of carved wood with golden details at the edges. On the other side was a huge wardrobe with four wooden doors, also adorned with golden details. But what really caught his attention was an imposing wooden door with a golden lock in the corner of the room. He had only ever seen his father go through that door and was eager to see what lay beyond it.

Daves then crawled toward the door. He propped himself against it and stretched his arms and legs to reach the lock, but even with his efforts, he barely managed to reach a meter in height.

He managed to turn the lock with some force, making a slight noise, but when he tried to open the door, it wouldn't budge. No matter how much strength he used.

He continued trying, pushing with all his might until, finally, with a "Aaaah!" of effort, he fell on his bottom.

"Aaghh!"

Raising his eyes, he saw the imposing door still standing before him, motionless, as it had been. Frustrated by his failure and sore from the fall, he started crying.

"Aaaaaah!"

Hugo and Jasmine woke up, startled by their son's crying. Hugo laughed, understanding the situation.

"Hahaha, looks like we have a little escape artist."

Jasmine, however, went straight to her son, picking him up and trying to calm him.

"It's okay, it was just a fall." She said softly.

Hugo continued laughing until he saw the furious look Jasmine gave him, at which point he stopped laughing.

Another year passed, and Daves finally began to learn the mysteries of this world...
