Chapter 38 - Chapter 38:Secrets beyond the barrier

Ken, along with Lorentz and Harold, were preparing to leave the island. Ken said, "I will go ahead, since I know many things about this place. You both stay here." He took the mysterious book with him and moved towards the city gates. Suddenly, Ken remembered the warning of the great minister Bimbisan: "From Amaravati city, no object—however small—can be taken outside. If anyone tries, the punishment is only death."

Ken realized that even gold or small treasures could not be carried out. But then he wondered, "How can we secretly take this hidden, mysterious book with us?" Lorentz and Harold thought deeply. Lorentz said, "Yes, Bimbisan warned us, but we forgot. Without this book, Ken leaving alone is useless. Listen carefully: we cannot take anything out of this island. But inside the island, we can secretly collect what we need. Ken, you go out without the book. Instead, bring hidden cameras with GPS, laptops, smartphones, and other devices. Also bring weapons—knives, guns, bullets. With these, we can plan better."

So Lorentz and Harold set out with Ken. But crossing the city gates guarded by soldiers was not easy. They returned to their quarters. Harold said, "We need another way. Let's plan carefully and patiently." Lorentz suggested, "Tomorrow, I will explore the western side. Ken, you talk casually with the townspeople to see if there's another way out. Harold, you speak with the soldiers to gather information."

Lorentz walked west, Ken mingled with the townsfolk, and Harold questioned the guards. But no one revealed anything. By nightfall, Lorentz had not returned. Later, he slipped back into the quarters. Harold asked, "Why so late? Did you find a way?" Lorentz replied, "Yes, I found something even greater. To the west, there is a massive wall guarded with advanced weapons. I disguised myself as a soldier and climbed up. Beyond that wall, there was another barrier guarded by strange warriors—not like Amaravati's soldiers. Even women were among them. Using a long-range device, I saw inside: a small temple and a palace-like building. At night, music played loudly for four hours, and all the soldiers gathered near the wall to watch. When the music stopped, silence returned."

Lorentz continued, "Through the device, I saw that near the temple and palace there were small pathways. To reach them, we must first cross both walls. But before that, we must discover who lives there and why the music is played. Only then can we plan our next move."

Suddenly Harold exclaimed, "That is Agnikadevi!" Lorentz and Ken were shocked, staring at Harold in disbelief.
