Chapter 1383 - 【1383】Withdrawal

Jin Tianyu looked at the puncture point on the patient's left hand, his brows tightened as he thought further about what to do next.

When selecting a route for PCI via radial artery, doctors usually prefer the left-hand access, as the pathway through the heart's vessels tends to be slightly smoother compared to the right-hand path. For example, the right subclavian artery path leads to the aortic arch, which requires passing through the brachiocephalic artery, while the left path does not involve the brachiocephalic artery, and the left subclavian artery comes directly out of the aortic arch. The left-side vascular path has fewer bifurcations.

Based on this, Doctor Fang carefully chose left upper limb puncture when it was optional. He selected the puncture point at the proximal end of the radial styloid, where the path of the radial artery is relatively straight with fewer branches, minimizing the chance of inadvertently entering a branch during the procedure.
