Spencer glanced at his watch repeatedly as time passed, a frown between his brows, and the humming of the surrounding tables getting on his nerves. A dissatisfied expression had taken over his face, and he was nowhere close to being happy. He seemed particularly irritated, and unlike Myrtle's prediction, he wasn't there to see Elef but rather someone else, and it was still a mystery as to who it was.
"Okay! That is it! I am out!" He breathed out heavily and decided to get up and leave the restaurant when he saw a figure walk up in his direction with hasty steps and yet still looking very refined. Spencer recognized him and remained seated, unlike his prior decision of leaving.
"My apologies, Mr. Spencer, I was delayed by the traffic," Arlo said with much grace and respect in his voice, making Spencer feel guilty for the thought that he was deciding to leave. To cover that up, he spoke, "No! Not at all, I just arrived here myself," he said, pulling his lip slightly into a smile.
