Qiao Jun was so happy that he hugged Yu Holea tightly, but carefully. He didn't want to press on her stomach or make her uncomfortable. With gentle hands, he led her to the table and helped her sit down.
"Come on, sit. You need to eat something good. For you… and our babies," he said with a soft smile.
Yu Holea looked at him and smiled too. "You're acting like I'm made of glass."
"You are made of glass now," Qiao Jun said seriously as he pulled out a chair for her. "Precious, beautiful, glass."
She laughed, and the sound made Qiao Jun's heart feel warm.
As she started eating the small snacks he had prepared, Qiao Jun looked at her and asked, "Did you tell anyone else?"
Yu Holea shook her head. "No. You're the first person I told. I couldn't tell anyone before telling you."
Qiao Jun chuckled, then leaned forward and softly kissed her forehead. "I really, truly love you. Thank you… for working so hard. I'll be with you every step of the way."
