After awakening Phelan's sword, the group returned to Alsheem.
The atmosphere inside the citadel had changed. Everyone knew that the weapon they now carried was no longer an ordinary sword.
Thanatos was awake. And they were finally ready to travel to Tartarus.
But before they could leave, Zuriel called Emilia forward.
"Emilia."
The demon immediately stepped forward.
"Yes, Your Majesty?"
"You have another task."
Emilia bowed.
"You will guide them to Tartarus."
Her eyes widened.
"Me?"
"Yes."
A smile immediately appeared on her face.
"I'd be honored."
Caspian, who had been standing nearby, couldn't hide his happiness.
Amaris noticed.
She smiled faintly.
"You're happy."
Caspian cleared his throat.
"I'm simply glad we have someone familiar with the route."
"Of course."
Emilia glanced at him. Their eyes met. That strange feeling returned. Neither of them understood it. But before either could say anything, Amaris suddenly gasped.
