The battle had become a war against the impossible.
Cronus stood amid shattered stone and rivers of burning dark energy, his enormous figure illuminated by the destruction surrounding him. The first barrier of Tartarus had already collapsed, and cracks continued spreading through the second as the force of their attacks shook the ancient prison.
Yet the Titan King remained standing.
Zion summoned the rivers around them, twisting the water into enormous serpents that surged toward Cronus from opposite directions. They crashed into him with tremendous force, swallowing the Titan beneath a wall of water before exploding outward across the battlefield.
When the torrent finally dispersed, Cronus emerged through the mist.
His armor was cracked, but his body remained untouched.
"He's adapting," Zion said, his expression tightening.
