Hearing this, Jack didn't even raise a brow. He simply kept munching on cookies. So this silver modder guy was actually the director of the Hospital? That explained a tiny bit.
Yet the atmosphere remained utterly strange, a certain director once again inwardly gasping. In those dark eyes, he saw intelligence coupled with so much confidence.
The kid had understood who he was. He just didn't give a damn, simply awaiting calmly. Seeing this, he addressed the Old Man himself. "Mister Log—"

Why wouldn't he? He would have bowed deeply had this been back at work, but this was his home. Here, he would bow down to no one— less to the weight of his own debts.
