Chapter 45 - Chapter 44: Back On Earth

'So the main body is off having a space adventure, soon to be fighting The Collector and Elder of the Universe, and I'm stuck here babysitting.

Yeah, I know that's a bit of an oversimplification, but I spend all day teaching a bunch of kids just waiting for more mutants to be admitted.

There is some news on that front though, something I didn't necessarily expect, but wasn't surprised about.

They mentioned a young man named Piotr who they were thinking about inviting to join the school, he had a sister so he was reluctant to leave her.

Piotr was the future Colossus, but I knew that his sister was the future Queen of Limbo and her powers would be very powerful. His? Not so much.

His powers wouldn't be much different than what I can already do with my Osmosian powers and all it would do would be using his power in one of my five slots of consecutively used powers when I could use a more powerful ability instead.

I decided to table that entire thought process for a later date, I had more important things to deal with right now.

Another clone of me was currently flying through the air in my Nexus suit and I was carrying an invisible collection of Vibranium and Ulysses Klaue who was unconscious and looked very thin as he had been given the bare minimum to survive for the last few months.

(Warning ⚠️ the next few paragraphs are not for children, take the proper steps before reading.)

I had no qualms about treating him like that, I knew all about his history and it was 100 times worse than what I expected, money laundering, varying degrees of fraud, using identity theft to ruin lives, child trafficking, torture, rape, child molestation, murder, and even basic things like speeding and reckless driving. Pretty much, if it was a crime, he has done it.

One of the worst things I discovered about him was that he had kidnapped the family of an old flame of his, killed her whole family in front of her, but had forced her to watch her two 6-year-old daughters being used right in front of her and

He even forced her to join in with the threat of killing her daughters which he did eventually but only after repeating the process for a few weeks before he killed her children right in front of her.

Suffice to say, he is an irredeemable piece of human garbage and after finding out about what he'd done, I'd almost killed him right them and there, but decided that even in death I would gain something from him and having him practically tortured through near starvation for months where his body was eating his insides gave me a certain degree of satisfaction.

I won't deny that I have sadistic tendencies and have long realized that I take great joy in making my enemies suffer. But I have also taken care that it only extended to the bad guys, and as far as I can tell, it hasn't extended beyond that.

Disregarding the existence of this human shit stain, I was floating down onto the outskirts of Wakanda and was met with Wakabi and a few of his Border Tribe.

"Stop! What business do you have here?" Wakabi asked.

"I have a few gifts for the Black Panther and his majesty the King." I said as I tossed the unconscious body of Klaue at the feet of Wakabi.

Wakabi saw the body and his eyes widened in recognition of Klaue. He was about to move towards the body when I spoke again.

"Oh, he also had a stash of this, I think your king might want his Vibranium back." I said as I made the Vibranium visible and it was in a neat pyramid on the ground.

Wakabi began walking over to the Vibranium before he stopped as it suddenly turned invisible once more

"I'd hoped to meet with your king. I offer this piece of trash and your own Vibranium back as a gesture of goodwill. I am sure the king already knows I am here as well as who I am as the events of The alien invasion are well known." I explained as I made the metal visible again.

Wakabi seemed to pause deep in thought when I interjected.

"You might as well contact him with those metal beads of yours. And don't think I don't know about this secret barrier you guys have, it's definitely more advanced than I've seen from today's technology." I said.

Wakabi didn't like the feeling he was getting from the stranger as if all his thoughts could be read by him and his knowledge of their Kimoya Beads, basic as this knowledge may be. But what made him uneasy the most was his knowledge of the barrier that hid their advanced kingdom from the world.

Wakabi then spoke into the beads and after a few minutes, I was allowed in but had to remove my armor.

That wasn't an issue and my armor soon fell off my body similar to how Tony's nanite suit did as it was the same technology.

(Wakandan throne/council room)

"We have heard that you requested a meeting. What could one of the heroes of New York City want with us? And how is it you possess knowledge of our kingdom?" King T'Chaka asked.

"A valid question. Well, if I am being honest, I heard all about it from Ulysses Klaue after I had captured him and tortured him. I hadn't even tortured him for information, I simply knew what he had done and wanted at least some form of pain to be inflicted against him because of everyone he'd hurt. He told me all the information her knew about Wakanda in exchange that I let him go.

Now obviously, I didn't, but when I arrived here, I could sense the sheer amount of metal throughout your kingdom so it made what he told me to be true you have an entire mountain of Vibranium. That is vastly different than what you told the U.N." I explained not even really lying, Klaue did tell me everything he knew to get me to release him, but I also already knew a majority of what he'd told me from my meta-knowledge.

During the entire conversation, the council of elders was staring at the fact that I had a large amount of their Vibranium just floating beside me.

King T'Chaka had turned away from me and seemed to be thinking deeply until he finally turned back to me.

"What is it you hoped to gain by coming here with the "gifts" as you called them, and your intimate knowledge of our kingdom?" He asked.

"Nothing. I mean I'd love to pick your brain about how it is that you can sew Vibranium into your clothes, how is such a process completed and how are you able to manipulate the metal in such a way, but truly, I had hoped to build a relationship with your kingdom so if I am needed in the future, you'd call on me." I explained to the confusion of the elders.

"You don't want anything, you don't want to blackmail us with your knowledge?" T'Chaka asked.

"What possible reason could I have to do that? Your stash of Vibranium? I don't need it, your technology? Impressive, but not enough to risk conflict. To be honest, I could have forced my way here and there's not a single thing that you could have done to stop me, but that's not the way I wanted to do things." I replied simply.

At the latter part of my words, the elders tensed as did the Dora Milaje who had their spears pointed at me this entire time.

"You're willing to bet your life on that?" T'Chaka asked genuinely curious.

"Without hesitation." I replied with a smile.

"Let's test that then." T'Chaka said as he then ordered the Dora to attack in Xhosa.

The Dora began their attack and I simply waved my hand and every single person who tried to attack me was raised in the air and unable to move.

My actions and the show of power I was giving had made the elders more nervous, but T'Chaka seemed to be enjoying the situation if the smile on his face was any indication.

Before anything else could happen, T'Challa walked in, saw what was going on, and rushed to attack me while my back was facing away from him.

T'Chaka did nothing to stop him and simply seemed to be waiting for what the conclusion would be.

Deciding to show off some more as I wanted the Wakandans to understand that I wasn't weak in physical combat, I sidestepped T'Challa's attack with ease as I had already sensed the attack coming.

I then easily blocked his every attack effortlessly with only one hand and I was moving even faster than he was, at one point I had even put one hand behind my back to show off even more and emulate a certain person, the people and the Vibranium remaining in the air perfectly controlled without any wavering.

After some time, it could be seen that I seemed unbothered and T'Challa was getting more and more winded. It is important to note that T'Challa currently has the power of the Black Panther as his father has long since begun preparing him to take over as king.

To see someone with that power, being dealt with so easily made the point I was trying to make that much easier.

"Enough!" T'Chaka said loud enough to be heard without shouting and T'Challa stopped while staring at his father in confusion.

"What is the meaning of this father? I was told we had an intruder who was escorted to you and I see all our soldiers held in the air, is he not attacking our people?" T'Challa asked frustrated and breathing heavily.

"Merely a test. He has brought back Klaue along with our stolen Vibranium." T'Chaka said gesturing to the Vibranium floating beside me.

"A test? But he? What?" T'Challa asked as he looked around.

"If you could release them I'd appreciate it." T'Chaka said as he pointed at the Dora in the air.

"Certainly." I replied as I let them float down and set them down carefully and also floated the Vibranium over to behind the throne.

"So, what you have said is truly all you seek?" He asked.

"Well, I'd love to have the Black Panther join the Avengers, but I am not ignorant enough to believe that my request would be granted. After all, Wakanda is an isolationist nation and the Black Panther is the protector of Wakanda." I replied with a smile of resignation.

"Quite right. Very well, on behalf of Wakanda, I thank you for returning the criminal known as Klaue and our Vibranium. If we need your help in the future, I see no reason not to accept your offer of support but I have some conditions." T'Chaka said.

"I expected as much. Oh, on another note, I unfortunately was unable to retrieve the Vibranium that Klaue had already sold but my estimate, he had sold already 298 pounds of it. I did however retrieve this." I said as I pulled out the Vibranium weapon that was Klaue's prosthetic arm.

I made it look like I pulled it out from my jacket but simply made it visible.

"Ahh I see he has already weaponized it, I suspect there are more of such weapons out in the world, we will do our best to retrieve them and ensure the weapons remain out of the hands of those who would misuse them." T'Chaka replied.

I nodded and waited as T'Chaka had started to quietly explain the whole situation to T'Challa as I looked around at the Fira who hadn't put their spears down and Okoye in particular did not seem to appreciate being put in the position she was.

I tried to apologize but they remained stonefaced and Okoye kept her glare on me.

T'Chaka then ordered the Dora to stand down and he requested I talk with him, implying he wanted to do it in private.

"If you are worried that I'd want my abilities to be hidden, you are mistaken, I don't care one way or another." I explained and he nodded and then sat on the throne causing the discussing elders to become silent

"Very well, my conditions are such, I want you to explain the powers you have, and then we need to discuss if we want to agree with your proposal and then create a way to contact you should we need to." T'Chaka explained that while he agreed with me,he needed the opinion of the elders before he gave the final say.
