The "God's Coffer"... it was suspected to be a contingency plan prepared by a deity against the revival of the Celestial Worthy. Inside it were special souls connected to the seven Sefirot, other than the "Sea of Chaos" and "Sefirah Castle."
By now, the seven special souls had already left the "God's Coffer."... It was certain that Roselle's adopted son, Yaldabaoth, before being reincarnated as a demon, had been connected to the "Tenebrous World." But when I was still the God of Luck, I stripped away the Sefirot imprint and placed it onto the sea monster "Seggust," which eventually fell into the hands of the "Mother Tree of Desire."
Then there were the Phoenix Ancestor Gregrace and the Elf King Soniathrym. They were respectively tied to the "River of Eternal Darkness" and the "City of Calamity."
The former, after its fall, likely had its lingering spirit and Sefirot imprint taken by the Evernight Goddess due to me in that lifetime as Vicente; the latter, its spirit and imprint should have first returned to the "God's Coffer," waiting to rejoin the "City of Calamity" for resurrection... But now, because the "God's Coffer" was very likely used in the ceremony designed by Old Huang eleven years ago, all the spiritual remnants and imprints waiting to return to their Sefirot for resurrection had been lost...
No one knew where they might have drifted to... However, as long as they weren't obtained by a true god or a Great Old One, they shouldn't pose much danger.
Recalling the information he knew about the "God's Coffer," Ebner first shook his head, then gave a slight nod and said, "I may not remember everything about the 'God's Coffer,' but I do know some things about this item."
Hearing this, Vera looked at Ebner with a smile in her eyes and asked, "Then you should know that the 'God's Coffer' actually carried seven special souls connected to the Sefirot, right?"
"Yes." Ebner nodded.
"That makes it easier to explain... To put it simply, Tren Sost, also known as the 'Night Emperor,' was actually one of those special souls. The Sefirot tied to him was the 'Land of Disorder.'... So, after his fall—no, even while he was still alive—the uniqueness of the 'Justiciar' was already tainted. The Sealed Artifact 0-02 that later formed from it was an extremely terrifying item. Even gods wouldn't dare to take it lightly.
"And I hope you can help me find the soul stone formed by the fusion of his lingering spirit and Sefirot imprint." Vera lifted her wine glass, took a sip of "Olmir," and then voiced her request.
So my earlier guess was right. The 'Night Emperor' really was one of those seven special souls! Now, only the 'Key of Light,' the 'Brood Hive,' and the 'Knowledge Moor' remain uncertain.
But... Madam, are you planning to whip the Night Emperor's corpse? Though you were likely ambushed and killed by him back then and fell into corruption as an evil spirit, taking revenge isn't unjustified...
Ebner grumbled silently to himself. Of course, he also guessed that Vera wanted the Night Emperor's soul stone not only for revenge, but for other purposes as well. After a short pause, he asked, "Do you have any leads?"
His past experiences told him that blindly searching for such things was no different than looking for a needle in a haystack—it was purely luck...
As for "prophecy"? Though he hadn't tried, Ebner didn't believe he could divine the whereabouts of objects tied to the Sefirot.
"None! It could have been made into a Sealed Artifact, used as a sacrifice in some evil ritual, or even picked up and stored by an ordinary person..." Vera shook her head, then added, "But you can try finding the 'God's Coffer' and its lid first.
"Especially the lid. It was linked to all seven special souls. Once combined with the coffer, it could sense the locations of those souls.
"As for the lid, I do have some clues. It eventually ended up in Roselle's possession. Roselle seemed to have used it to arrange a certain ritual... That ritual was only fully completed eleven years ago."
So the ritual eleven years ago actually used the lid of the 'God's Coffer'!
That makes sense. Old Huang's original intent was likely just to use the power of the Sefirot to balance the 'Mother Goddess of Depravity's' imprints on those girls. Using the lid, an indirect connection, as a sacrificial medium would have been easier to control the contamination...
Tsk tsk, why was Old Huang, the 'Black Emperor,' always so obsessed with 'balance'? Isn't that the Justiciar's concern?
After grumbling inwardly, Ebner gradually pieced things together. He also had a hunch: once he gathered the five surviving women and unlocked the secrets hidden in their bodies, reconstructing the ritual within, perhaps the lid of the "God's Coffer" could reappear.
"I'll give it a try." Although he had some ideas, Ebner didn't speak too confidently. He just joked, "Maybe in a month or two, I'll be able to exchange for the 'Fog Demon's complete brain' from you."
"No need to wait a month or two." Vera raised one hand holding the wine glass, while waving the other dismissively, smiling as she said, "I can give you the 'Fog Demon's complete brain' right now... I trust you won't break your word!"
After she spoke, Vera was about to reach into the mist, but she seemed to forget she still held a glass of wine. With a slip of the hand, the liquid spilled and was about to fall entirely onto her chest.
At that moment, the small puppet Tolzna, who had been quietly eating and drinking nearby, suddenly tapped his fingers. Immediately, the spilled wine seemed to gain life, flowing back into the goblet on its own.
Seeing this, Vera narrowed her eyes, then smiled and said to the little puppet, "Thank you for your help, you saved me from embarrassment."
Tolzna lifted his head and said calmly, "No need to thank me. Just be careful."
After this brief interlude, Vera quickly retrieved a metal box from the mist. She opened the lid to reveal what looked like a transparent "brain" formed of countless wriggling worms.
Looking closely, those "worms" weren't actually writhing. It only looked that way because their bodies, made of mist, kept spreading and condensing.
Ebner hadn't expected Vera to so easily hand him a main ingredient of Sequence 3 potion... Though it came with a task attached, the fact she gave the reward first made him feel as though she was only using it as an excuse to deliver the item to him.
Still, Ebner had no reason to refuse. After receiving the box, he promised, "I'll help you find the Night Emperor's soul stone as soon as possible."
"I've always believed in you!" Vera nodded with a smile, then seemed to recall something and added, "By the way, if you find any leads on the 'Wishing Lamp,' you can tell me... I'll pay a price you'll be satisfied with."
As she said this, she first winked at Ebner, then turned to the little puppet and continued, "The same goes for you, Tolzna."
"Do you know the whereabouts of the third 'Divine Punishment'?" Tolzna stopped eating, lifted his head once again, and asked.
"I don't... But if you want to deal with Suah, I can help."
