Bjørn got a message from the Kaiser to bring me to Hae. We all knew it was a trap. We went anyway. Søren was left in charge till I returned. I had to name the new yacht before we boarded it. It took me a moment to realize they built the new yacht was because they are trying to protect me. I was overwhelmed with gratitude as I named the yacht Valkyrie's Diadem. Immediately they carved the name and we boarded it. Oleg was on the pilot seat. I saw Roland was sitting in the communications seat. I wore a very dark maroon robe that had the palest yellow embroidery. I also wore a gold mask, a sandalwood hand fan and mom's glow in the dark necklace. My headdress was by my side till it was time to disembark. The new Kaiser was from Halocline. He had a human appearance but calls himself an an estuary. He summoned me to extend a hand of friendship.
We reached Hae and got in the lane dedicated to politicians. We gave our clearance code. We got the all clear and we were given directions to our parking space after we drop me off. Oleg landed us in the empty space where a single man stood surrounded by security wearing pale green security uniform. I heard them give clearance to land and Thorpe was the first to step out with his guard Riggs. Then Oleg stepped out as Cade sat on the pilot seat to drive it to the parking space. Oleg and Roland stepped out. Serena stepped out to with Miranda. I put on the headdress of Phoenix and dragon before I walked out to the ramp followed by Zac. I saw a tall man wearing a charcoal suit. His balding gray hair was combed well and thoroughly. He kindly extended a hand and I shook lightly. He apologized for any inconveniences.
Signe replied, "We felt no inconvenience. We are pleased to meet you. We wish you congratulations on your victory in this election." He asked if I have any sort of speech impediment. Oleg explained, "In our tradition the Empress is not allowed to speak unless she is in Parliament or the Senate. She has someone speak on her behalf." I caressed Signe to support her fully. She stood a little bit taller. He grinned as he wished us a safe stay. We were directed to the hover car meant to take us to the Imperial suite. Cade was given permission to take off for parking. I waved at him as he took off. There were two hover cars. Oleg and I got in the one in the front. Thorpe and Riggs got in the second one. It rose a few feet before it zoomed into traffic. We reached the hotel dedicated to royalty. The Imperial suite was searched for the usual suspects. I got the all clear and we entered it.
Miranda changed my clothes to dark green robes with palest blue embroidery. The lovely headdress was replaced with the crown. Someone knocked on the door and Riggs double checked before he let them in. It was my handmaidens and the additional security. Handmaidens were Fiona, Hannah, Medora, Akira, Ayla and Nour. They wore teal robes with pale blue lines on their lapels. The additional security was Titus, O'Neil, Ronan, Silas, Varek, Darius, Dorian, Gray and Todd. They wore gray suits with a knee length dark gray jackets with high collars that overlaps. It held shut with a quarter size platinum buttons. They had a pistol on one side on their belt. The other side had a sword and a baton. The vice chair of the Senate send the message requesting our presence to the Senate building. We boarded the hover car designated to us.
I connected to my representatives Axel and Dash. Both of them explained, "The Senate is trying to help refugees and they want to know where to send them. We have placed a petition to send them to the western regions since their numbers is dwindling. There are others who want to send them elsewhere. This will lead to overpopulation. He heard you have negotiated peace between people. He wants to see what you do." We reached the Senate building and saw the crowd. I was escorted to our pod and I sat waiting for my turn. They spoke at length about the refugees. They went on about how to screen them to make sure they are not the Semites or any other unwanted. The Kaiser asked for our representatives to speak. They thanked the Kaiser for the slot and everyone else for their patience. They were honored to be part of this honored body. They stepped aside to let me speak.
I asked the representatives if they are being harassed by raiders, enslavers and marauders. I apologized that I am not allowing refugees to be a part of my planet. I would like them to be a resident in a world where their unique culture and strength will be beneficial to other nations. The declining population was because Semites had sent poison to kill us all. A representative from Aegean rose to agree. More than a thousand senators got up to agree. They had lost loved ones and were still hoping for permission to kill them. A senator seconded my motion and the planets with fewer population got the refugees. The senators voted to give these planets a concession as long the refugees and their descendants are not treated like second class citizens. The repatriation office were already flooded with refugees. The edge of the galaxy had been a permanently turned into border patrol. Everyone agreed the refugees will be screened by testing their DNA so the unwanted can't sneak in.
The session ended and all of us were invited to a party. We came back to the hotel and change our clothes. Both of them thanked me as they left to change into official clothes. I was placed in a bathtub and scrubbed of any residue. I changed into ice silk robes of cobalt blue with cherry red embroidery. Whoever is designing my outfit is cool. Oleg laughed and Roland told him to behave or he might have to sleep in the balcony. I had to advise Oleg to listen as I slipped on gold nail extensions. Signe lit a piece of Oud and perfumed my hair and clothes. Then Miranda combed my hair before she styled it according to her genius. She inserted jade and copper hairpins before she placed the headdress. I wore a dark red and gold robe as a jacket. A copper mask to cover my face. We took a second to honor the hardship we had to go through before we reached our happily ever after.
We left for the Kaiser's residence in the Senators apartment complex. The ride to the penthouse took half an hour. Oleg carried me to the terrace where a very surprised Kaiser was waiting. He asked why Oleg did that. He simply answered, "She is my wife and my love. This is how it is done." He politely bowed and wished us a long happy marriage. Oleg put me down and took my hand. I kissed all of his knuckles through the mask. Then we walked to the penthouse and sat down with the Aegean. I saw Hazel of Malachi has grown old. She had stepped down so her son could be sworn in as king. Her son had sent her since people still trusted her. The king of the south was also here. He was a young man in his twenties. He stared at me curiously as I walked over to speak with her. He leaned forward to eavesdrop. Oleg sat down to speak with Hazel's consort. I thanked Oleg for his brilliance. He gave me a wink as he talked at length about their next trip to hunting.
The Kaiser walked in once the everyone was present and accounted for. Roland snickered. Oleg gave him a look and he calmed down. The security outside were keeping an eye out for kamakaze drones and missiles. The inner security kept an eye out for assassins. He thanked us for the attendance and showed appreciation for our commitment for a safer galaxy. A server dropped his tray and lunged at him. I used superspeed and pushed him away and got back to my seat. The evil one fell face first and was pinned to the floor. The Kaiser asked him, "Who sent you?" He grit his teeth as a bodyguard pressed his knee on the assailant's back. I watched as security kick the Kaiser as they helped the assassin stand up. They joined forces to hold us hostage. A man dressed in red walked in and asked us to rescinde the law to screen refugees. He promised to shoot us one by one till the Kaiser agrees to his terms.
I rolled my eyes as he came over to take me as a hostage. I was given permission to terminate them. So I kicked him out of my way. I placed my jacket on the chair. I took a deep breath before I took them out. The others saw a blur as I knocked them out. Then I sat down as the actual security came to stun and arrest them. The kaiser thanked me as the king of Aries came to shake my hand. The others were appreciative as they discussed how to assist the repatriation committee. The others wanted to marry into my family as an extension of friendship. Oleg spoke, "We don't have children. The empress has no siblings either. We are a group of immortals who switch rulers every hundred years. The same three people rules our world. We are all married and we have no intention of having a harem."
The Vice chair of the Senate confirmed, "She has been the Empress who attends the Senate meeting every five years. I believe she will be a thousand years in a few months." They stared for a second before they reminded us, "The immortal ones are banned from fighting unless it is to defend their planetary system. They are negotiators and the deciding vote." One of the dignitaries reached out and removed my mask. I asked him if he has any respect for other people's traditions. He didn't apologize as I put the mask on. The vice chair stared, "I was a junior when you first arrived. You haven't aged a day. You look like you did the first day you gave the speech thanking us for giving you a place in this galaxy". I stared as the prime minister stared at me, "You haven't aged a day? What is your secret?" I shrugged, "Evolution" He didn't believe me but he was forced to apologize. The kings and queens yelled at him for his misbehaviour.
The party ended after Akira hypnotized the evil prime minister to forget my face. The others were left alone. We waited for our turn to leave the building. The Kaiser thanked us for attending. He thanked me for saving our lives. Oleg carried me to the car. The driver took us back to the hotel. Hannah, Medora, Ronan, Silas, Varek, Darius, Dorian went ahead. They searched the place for bombs, hitmen and so on. We received gifts from other planets. I asked them to move them all to the security gunship. If there is any explosives it will blow up an empty ship. I wasn't the only one who did it. One of the presents was rigged to blow. The prime minister of Marion was killed for not following the Royal protocol for gifts. He was sent home for a proper burial. The Kaiser order a full investigation. A few were saying the culprit were those who supported Semites. Since we didn't send any presents we were cleared first. A week later the criminals were caught. The lockdown was lifted. Everyone was permitted to go home.
