Without siege weapons, this section of the wall has become completely unlikely to be taken down. Whatever it is that the beats are planning will have to succeed somewhere else.
The beasts will have to attack the city from other weaker sections of the city if they hope to get into the city. And as luck would have it, there are many weaker sections of the walls.
The action of the beasts caused this section of the wall to become deserted. It appeared that the Golden Hammer gang had succeeded in defending their territory, but the beast tide was far from over.
Even from where they stood, they could hear the sounds of fighting. Those with better eyesight could see how the battle was faring, and what they saw painted a bad picture.
The humans were losing the battle, and they were losing badly. This didn't surprise Legion at all. They expected it to happen because only they and their neighbors were preparing for the attack.
