Chapter 39 - the borrower

Happiness POV

I closed my ears as I heard a boom from the surrounding. I turned back to see the remains of the place I once called my home.

A big and large mansion is no where to be seen. It's like the Jericho.

I saw my mother crying her eyes out. She was shouting and hitting herself on the ground wailing while people try to hold her down and console her.

She didn't listen to anyone and kept on shouting. Snorts were even coming out of her nose but she didn't care. She has never once cried like this in all the years I've known her.

She always the composed and and elegant madam of the house.

She was always serious especially with me and tried to make everything perfect in her life.

She looked so pathetic and pitiful at the moment and everyone was looking at her with sorry eyes. Eyes that she hated so much, now she didn't even care about it, she didn't even pay them attention much less to look at their eyes or faces and know what they were thinking about her.
