Chapter 5 - Were-Ticked 05 Chpter 5A

"Please. I won't implicate you or anything. I can get rid of the marks, and no one will trace it back to you. I just need my bag."

Anna pleads.

"Why should we trust you?" Tan asks.

"I can easily report you all for touching me. You have no other option."

Anna, at this point, was ever so grateful to the moon goddess overseer for the protective spell. As they were taught this spell is to protect them from werewolves.

"We, kind of, have other option."

They all look to in urging Ephraim to speak further.

Anna looks in fear while praying they won't kill her. She had long heard of werewolves killing people and their kind for fun. It was the job of the moon goddess to prevent that.

"Death. What's with the look?"

Ephraim backs up a bit in a playful manner

Ruby sigh "I can't be bothered to deal with you now."

"We'll get you your bag and you'll deal with the mark immediately. Swear it. An oath to TMH. We'll believe you then" Ruby continues.

It was the safest option for the werewolves as breaking an oath to TMH is tantamount to seeking instant retribution. It was one of the few things the werewolves and Grahana's did not understand, the logic behind the TMH oath.

Anna hesitated.

It was in her hope to get further help by threatening them with the incident. To get them to work for her so she could understand better what was done to Grahanas at the Wocade.

Anna was taking a big risk, doubting there was more to the Grahana graduation and their visit to the Wocade than what she knew.

Anna was sure that it was definitely more than just seeing their interaction with the werewolves.

"I'll swear. For the TMH we live, I give an oath. I will rid of the marks to prevent implicating the werewolves and start with a clean slate."

With the thought of them possibly helping her with respect to her knowledge that they were the ones she saw secretly forming a pack, Anna eventually made the oath. After all, it had nothing to do with the marks.

At her words, they inexplicably sigh in relief.

"We don't want a clean slate with you. Once this is over, let's not meet."

Tan turned towards the part to their hangout house, not before glaring and warning Anna.

The others don't comment. They all walked back; Anna kept in sight.

"Are you scared of the something or someone?"

Anna questions once she saw them less tensed after checking the house.

Tri decides to reply on seeing the others had no intention to.

"We uh...had a... thingy with someone earlier. Just making sure they aren't here" He finishes with an awkward laugh.

Feeling the tension, Anna lets out an acknowledging sound and moves to take her bag which seemed to have fallen from the couch.

Walking towards her bag, she moves to pick it up.

Gasp

"Why is that here?"

The werewolves were focused on her on hearing the Grahana gasp.

"Why is what here?" "Don't waste time. Let's go"

"I'm not trying to waste time stupid. And I was talking about the moon goddess symbol. Very...funny finding it in a werewolf's hangout."

Ruby who was closer to Anna, draws nearer to see what she was referring to. Tri doing the same.

On the drawer was a simple drawing. It seemed to have been done in one swift move with aid of pens before being carved out. With the position of the drawing and its aged look, it didn't stand out. Hence, they never noticed.

"That is not a moon goddess symbol. How can you not know that?"

"Yes, it is. Just not the current one. I believe it is an old moon goddess symbol. I've seen it before."

Anna retorts.

From the looks of the werewolves, Anna was sure they had no knowledge on it.

It was expected as she only had the chance to see it on an exercise book, used by moon goddess teachers, right before it was taken out to be burnt. The reason being it was things of the old.

The twins are stunned. With Ephraim and Ruby thinking, more or less.

Tri denying that a moon goddess symbol would be here.

After all, it was a Level 5 werewolves Pack Hangout. It should have nothing to do with moon goddesses.
