Scarlet slowly crept down the stairs desperately trying not to wake any of her family up however, in the big house that her and her family lived in, she could hear the feint sound of fire crackling from the fireplace that resided in the living room of her house and thus, she went to investigate
She gently pushed the door open and she saw none other than her granddad sitting there in his chair as he always did, he was quite young for being a granddad, "Hm?" he said turning around surprised to see that anyone was still awake, "Oh, Scarlet, come on in" he said as the ice in his drink clanged together, "what keeps you awake at this time?" Scarlet hastily responded, "I couldn't sleep and so i thought that i'd come and get a drink anyway, I could ask you the same thing" Bill chuckled, "Just thinking of our ancestors, one in particular. Doreius." Scarlet looked confused, "Who's that when hes at home?" Bill replied in an annoyed way, "Watch your tone young lady, back when Doreius was alive he was the best knight to have ever existed. Doreius the immortal was his name, one feared by all." Scarlet stuttered in shock, "S-sorry, i didn't know. How long ago back are we talking?" Bill replied with a firm, "About a thousand years ago, 1010AD-1106AD" Scarlet seemed to have a wave of excitement rushing through her, "Hey! Can you tell me about him, I wanna know everything..."
