Explosions went off around me and the monsters' movement was halted. I dashed out during the confusion and hurried back to our squad. On my way there I was thankful to realize that the one with the explosions was Mona.
She did not feel like she had any special power of her own so that must mean that she was relying on a trojan. It was an amazing one at that, being able to produce explosives that powerful.
I smiled at her forgetting that I had a skull covering my face. But in some way, it felt like she knew I was smiling at her, as she turned her gaze away from me soon after.
"Hey, Grim where are the others? And why didn't you tell us that you could fly?" Arnold said as he jumped up and down while swinging his arms in the air. He had a sword on them, I guess this made him the crew's swordsman. Even so, I could not find it within me to accept Arnold as a swordsman, after all, he was shooting guns when we met.
"First of all, if I could fly I wouldn't be running right now. And lastly, I used my superspeed to come here, so those two should be here any minute now." I only answered as soon as I was back with the crowd.
I started to look around and Sizana was nowhere to be seen, I guess that it was a long trip here. My heart finally calmed down and I made a connection, this body was drawn to her like a moth to a flame. It was not me, it was it, I did not care what happens as long as I complete my mission. This is turning out to be more of a drag than I had expected.
Another thing that caught my eye was the giant glutton that was Sekai, he was holding in his hands two butcher knives. He was dangerous enough without those things earlier, I can't imagine how monstrous he must seem in front of normal soldiers. Then again, what is normal for this world among the stars? I've only ever lived in a small cage up to this moment.
I want to see more, more people, more weapons, more monsters, more buildings, more vehicles, and more landmarks. I want to taste different foods, and I want to wear a lot more clothing. Whatever captures my heart will get to come home with me to the land of the Asterians.
My heart began racing again as my desires and dreams filled my mind and ran rampant around it. I was in a daze and my eyes were everywhere, the {Supreme Eyes} automatically activated themselves and started revealing the natures of things to me. It was breathtaking.
"ARE YOU JUST GOING TO STAND THERE OR ARE YOU GOING TO DO SOMETHING?" Sekai screamed at me.
"Sorry, I was just recharging my skills." I turned around and released the zoom zooms separately now and pointed them at the battlefield. I did not shoot as I finally saw what Arnold's regent was.
The monster put its hands together brought the giant fist down on Arnold but it did not connect. Arnold went through it, he struck the monster with his sword and it bled profusely. It threw another punch but it also just went through him, he then jumped and shoved his sword down the back of the monster's neck. He moved on to another one and the butcher sliced off the head of that one.
He moved through the field like a phantom reminding me of back when Shottana was trying to pass down his deathly arts to me. If I learn them now, would I also be able to go through things?
"TEDDY!"
That was my cue to look alive. I took off into the smoke, dust, and explosions and started to make it rain bullets. In a matter of minutes, we cleaned up all of the monsters. One thing that bothered me though was the major official that was standing on that ship over there.
He had not moved an inch and not even a single one of the bullets I fired at him during the commotion reached, even when I accelerated them to their material limits.
"Man that guy gives me the creeps." Said Arnold.
"Everything gives you the creeps," Sekai said.
"I think you meant to say the opposite," Mona added.
"Haha, do you think that we could beat him?" Sekai said.
"If we could be brought down by the likes of him then we don't deserve our freedom."
"Well said, Mona. Let's give him hell. AAAAAAAH!" Arnold charged at him, he charged at him. He kept running and running but could never get any closer.
"Now I am not a tactical genius or anything but I don't think the captain's attack is working," Sizana said as she join us further in.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Arnold only grew louder and more vicious, he ran and ran but still stood in place. "AH AH AH! WHY ISN'T ANYTHING WORKING IN HERE?" He screamed as he tried his best to cut through whatever is it that was holding him in place.
"A fool who can't even use his head and you call him your captain. Grim?" The man finally said, he jumped off the ship and hovered to the ground.
"Am I supposed to know you?" I asked while scratching my head.
"My apologies, we have never been formally introduced before but I have heard of you as much as you should have heard of me. Although it may be unknown to you, we have collaborated in the past."
"Ahh, I see, so I have to kill you?"
"Oh my, I was hoping that we don't get to that point if possible. I am here to collect the Stowaways, if you just stand aside I will act like I never saw you here."
I looked around and caught everybody staring at me, I slowly face the handsome officer again. "Could you perhaps do me a favor?"
"You are not in a position to ask for any favors, I heard you had people break out of a secured facility."
"So, you intend to fight then?"
"Can you call it a fight? Your little display from earlier was more than pathetic."
"Worse than that mustache you wearing?"
He stroked his mustache and his gaze turned into a glare. "I had hope that I wouldn't have to beat you."
"I was actually interested in popping that bubble you got around you."
"Feel free to try."
I pulled out the zoom zooms and started to gather energy around the bullets. The energy I generated was so high and so much the air around me turned into violent winds and blew in every direction. I brought the zoom zooms in front of me and combined them into one.
I fired.
BOOM!
A huge crater appeared where my gun had shot, it went beyond the horizon and everything in that direction could safely be classified as vaporized.
"HAHA!!!" I laughed along with Sizana and Arnold everybody else just stood there frozen in place.
"You know, a wise man once said; the bigger the bullet the more that bitch gon' bang." I said as I noticed a shillouette admist the smoke and dust.
