Smelling the distinct stench of decay in the air, Han Fei walked past the advertisement: "Good people, good water, good air; this place is completely different from what the ads claim."
After walking a few hundred meters further, Han Fei saw bodies hanging upside down from the branches. The rotting corpses wore bright red clothes, each embroidered with a black character for "longevity".
"Stop! Don't go any further!" Leaves fell as a strange man wearing two layers of raincoats emerged from behind a tree. He looked to be in his forties, stout, with a full black beard.
"Isn't the village just ahead?" Han Fei didn't sense any threat from the strange man.
"The village is full of monsters!" The man in the raincoat wanted to say more, but the red ropes and bells tied to the trees suddenly jingled. He became tense immediately: "Run quickly! Don't ever drink the village water! Be careful of the elderly!"
