"Can you temporarily control her?"
Ciris, who was with Shard inside the shield, asked. Shard nodded:
"Binding Light!"
A silver halo flew out and directly encircled the neck of the smoke-emitting Ciris. The real Ciris had a strange expression but stepped forward to embrace her to prevent her from falling:
"I know you are full of hate, but after all, he is our father. Before he left, I wasn't raised by the wind and rain."
The smoke-shadowed figure seemed to sob a few times, then dissipated. Some white threads attached themselves to Ciris's wrist; she didn't avoid them but instead felt the past resentments and memories.
"For Circle Sorcerers like us who believe in 'The Forgotten Old Man', the power of memory is more important than for other Circle Sorcerers."
As if afraid Shard would worry, Ciris explained to him, and Shard understood that Ciris's power had been enhanced.
