"Is this thing shrinking?"
I wasn't the only one who realized what was happening, but Sukrucuk was the first to say it out loud. The sight was dazzling; the imposing boss was gradually shrinking, losing a quarter of its own size.
Right when it was exactly three-quarters of its original size, the transformation stopped, and one of the faces on its head vanished, dropping the count down to three.
"Leo?"
Even though I just said his name, the questioning tone packed into the word forced the temporary guy to give an explanation.
"This is what I didn't tell you at first; the boss's trick is the exact opposite of the previous one. Four Faces doesn't give its power to the mobs; on the contrary, it feeds off the power of their belief!"
I don't know what kind of look we gave him, but Leo, figuring we hadn't quite caught on, kept explaining.
