Out of all the tradesmen surrounding us, I honestly would have expected a massive outburst like this from Sukrucuk, Toraman, Rimel, or even myself, but I seriously never saw it coming from Elenora.
Ever since we laid eyes on the Amusement Park sign, our mage—who hadn't quite been in her right mind—spoke up while tightly wrapping her arms around her younger self. She pulled the little girl right into her chest, shielding her from all her fears.
Her method is actually working. Hugging her younger self—whom you'd normally cross the street to avoid if you saw her on the outside—she tossed her hair back. I caught a glimpse of our mage's gaze, which always radiates a faint, underlying chill, and it sent a shiver down my spine.
"So you finally grew some spine and decided to talk! How lovely, just wonderful! Bring it on, I've been waiting for this moment for years!"
