"Everybody, watch out!"
Elenora arrived like a guardian angel right in the nick of time. Just as we were about to offer up our chests as shields against an assault dense enough to rival the arrow volleys of the ancient Chinese army, she changed our minds at the last second. Sprinting forward, I took cover behind the shield Rimel was projecting using Sukrucuk's body. I didn't even get a chance to throw up an ice wall in the front.
The rest of the party gathered behind Rimel, who locked down the center with two virtual shields and one physical shield. The impacts against the shields sound like heavy rain crashing onto a fiberglass patio roof. It didn't even take twenty seconds total for the two virtual shields to shatter and be replaced by new ones.
"Soooo, what's the play here?"
Sukrucuk opened the floor using a tone of voice that perfectly belonged to the most annoying girl in class. The target of his question was obvious, and she didn't hesitate to reply.
