Dane furrowed his brows slightly and looked up toward the window.
Dark clouds covered the sky, and heavy rain poured down.
The high-ranking members of the church also turned their gazes outside.
The central region of the Thunder Basin repeatedly resounded with booming rumbles.
"Today's storm is unusual," Dane muttered to himself, nodding. "The spatial energy fluctuations are far too abnormal. Zane, for safety, take your team and go investigate."
"Yes!"
Zane immediately waved, signaling his subordinates, and led his squad from the church camp into the central region of the Thunder Basin for patrol.
The Thunder Basin periodically experienced fluctuations, sometimes even causing spatial rifts. To prevent dangers from spreading, the church had established a defensive layer around the inner perimeter of the basin.
As soon as Zane and his team entered the central region, a strong sense of unease surged in his heart.
