Chapter 55 - Chapter 51: Prologue

Chapter 51: Prologue

Author: Geraint

(MC's POV)

In the living room, I was sitting in a kneeling position over a cushion while leaning my arm on the table, supporting my head. I had just finished my bath and changed into clothes lent to me by Inko-san. She reminded me that Izuku was naturally a girl. When I asked why they named her Izuku if she's a girl, she answered that her husband wanted a boy but ended up getting a girl instead. Out of disappointment, they decided to name her Izuku anyway.

Hearing that, I'm the one who is disappointed.

"I'm sorry, Ichika-kun. My daughter told me not to tell you about her real gender."

Inko-san bowed, apologizing to me.

Remembering Kacchan, I took out my phone and decided to call him.

Hello? Who's this?

Hearing an adult voice, it was Kacchan's parents.

"Sorry, this is Ichika. Can I talk to Kacchan? I have something important to tell him."

Ara, Ichika-kun! How are you doing?

"Hello, Mitsuki-san, it's been a while. Same as ever."

Wait a minute, okay? I'll call my son. He just doesn't stop shouting 'Deku this, Deku that!' It's annoying! I'm afraid he's turning the wrong path. Ichika-kun, I hope you can make him straight before it's too late.

"Don't worry, Mitsuki-san. He is straight. I can testify to that."

Is that true? Thank you, Ichika-kun.

Suddenly—

KATSUKI!! COME HERE!! THERE'S A CALL FOR YOU FROM ICHIKA!! GO AND TALK TO HIM!!

I heard intense yelling on the other end and had to move my phone away from my ear.

You old hag! I told you not to answer anything from that annoying guy!!

I could hear Kacchan's voice even from a distance. As expected from the Bakugou family.

JUST COME HERE ALREADY AND DON'T GIVE ANY MORE TROUBLE!! HE TOLD ME IT'S SOMETHING IMPORTANT!!

Damn that guy!

Finally, he took the call.

Damn you!! What is it?!

"Kacchan<3~"

STOP IT!! YOU'RE DISGUSTING!!

"Hahaha! Actually, it's about Deku. I just found out what he's hiding."

What?!!

I smiled as I revealed it to him.

"Congratulations, Kacchan. He's actually a girl!"

Tooot~

The call ended just like that.

"Hm?"

Inko-san just smiled wryly while holding a teacup.

"I guess he was really shocked."

I put my phone back in my pocket and sipped the tea Inko-san had prepared for me.

Just a few minutes later—

"DEKU!!! COME OUT HERE!!"

Someone was yelling outside.

"Oh, he's here already."

"I'll go get him."

Inko-san stood up and went to the entrance.

Click!

Just as I heard her open the door—

"Pardon my intrusion!!"

I heard someone running inside, passing right in front of me. It was Bakugou, and he halted when he noticed me.

"Hey, Ichika! When did you get here?"

I smugly smiled at him.

"Just now."

"Well, who cares! Where's Deku?!"

"She's in the bathroom."

I pointed, and he immediately ran.

Bam!

I heard him burst into the bathroom.

"DEKU!!! Huh?"

"Kyaaaaaah!!"

"Why do you have boobs?! And where is your—Huh?"

Thud!

"KACCHAN!!"

"What happened over there?" I asked, biting into a rice cracker. Crunchy.

"He passed out!"

"Pfffffft!"

I covered my mouth before I spewed what I was eating and couldn't stop laughing at Kacchan's reaction.

After that, Kacchan was lying on the couch while Deku wiped his bleeding nose.

"I'm sorry, Kacchan, Ichika-kun. I never intended to hide it in the first place."

"From now on, I'll call you Deku-chan instead."

"If that's what you like to call me, then it's fine."

Seeing the dizzy Bakugou—

"Barging into the bathroom and passing out? Pathetic."

"Shut it, you—Ugh! My head hurts!"

"Kacchan, don't move!"

Kacchan relaxed while Deku-chan tended to him.

"No wonder your training results were slow."

"I'm really sorry, Ichika-kun. I was afraid you'd stop helping me become a hero if you found out I'm a girl. After all, I..."

I sighed, hearing her reason.

"Let me remind you of this... I will help you regardless of your gender."

"Told you, Izuku. You should believe in your friend," Inko-san said.

Deku-chan scratched the back of her head, laughing wryly.

"Well, Ichika-kun always avoids talking to girls in class, so I thought..."

"It's not like that!"

"Huh?"

I wanted to clear up the misunderstanding.

"I just avoid people who are annoying—regardless of gender. You're my friend, so it's fine if you annoy me a little."

"I see... Hehehe..."

Looking at the time on the wall clock—

"I guess I have to go."

I stood up and glanced at Izuku.

"I'll forgive you for hiding this, but as punishment, you're forbidden from wearing boys' clothes. From now on, you'll only wear girls' clothes like skirts. Your mom will be the witness and send me pictures."

"Eh?!!"

Izuku was completely shocked.

"I'll buy her lots of cute dresses, so don't worry," Inko-san added, enjoying the moment.

"Well then, see you next visit. I leave Kacchan to you."

After leaving their home, I teleported back to my room. Remembering everything that happened and what I discovered gave me a headache.

"The main protagonist became a girl."

I jumped on my bed and lay down, staring at the white ceiling.

I sighed, remembering I still had to make my AI daughter's body.

"Huh?"

Suddenly, I felt very sleepy. My vision blurred, and I lost consciousness.

When I opened my eyes, I was in the middle of a city being swallowed by flames.

"What?!"

Looking at my left hand, the Mind Stone and Space Stone were glowing. I already suspected this illusion was the work of the Infinity Stones.

Out of curiosity, I touched the nearby flames. No heat.

"This really is just an illusion."

Boom!

An explosion. A tall building crumbled and collapsed onto a road full of cars.

"What is going on? Huh?"

Ahead, two people were clashing in the air.

Boom!Boom!Boom!

I tried to get closer, but suddenly—

Boom!

A powerful shockwave blew away the flames around me. Someone crashed down in front of me.

A crater formed in the middle of the road. At its center was someone who looked like me—my adult form, but a bit younger. More like my appearance during middle adolescence. There's no mistake. This was me—or rather, my future self.

Looking up at his opponent, I was shocked.

"Deku?"

Like me, Deku here was in his adolescence. But his demeanor was completely different. He emitted a sinister aura, like All for One. My future self and Deku were fighting.

"I never thought you'd be this weak once I completed my power. Without your invincible form, you're nothing but a remnant of Captain Falcon. Once a former enemy of pro heroes and the child of All for One... but also my best friend. I want you to join me! I will create an ideal world better than this hero society."

"I refuse."

My future self stood, bleeding from the forehead.

"If you're not with me, then you will die."

"Only a villain deals in absolutes. I will do what I must."

"Then struggle trying."

They clashed again.

"Detroit Smash!"

"Falcon Punch!"

Boom!

Their fists collided. Shockwaves destroyed everything around them.

Watching the fight, I noticed Deku here was male—unlike my timeline. This confused me. Was this really the future?

Deku had One For All, but seeing him use different quirks... he also had All For One. His eyes resembled Sir Nighteye's when using his quirk. So he had Foresight too. No wonder my future self struggled. But why wasn't he using Shazam?

"Shazam!"

As my future self tried to transform, the lightning struck—

"It's futile!"

The lightning changed direction and hit Deku's arm. He absorbed it.

"That's..."

It was Kaminari's quirk. Deku had stolen it. This was bad.

"Tsk."

My future self had no choice but to fight in his current form.

The battle continued. My future self landed a powerful left jab.

"Ugh!"

Deku's nose bled. He wiped it, frustrated.

"Ichika..."

My future self looked at him sadly.

"I have failed you, Deku. I have failed you."

"I never thought Pro Heroes would stoop to underhanded tactics!"

"Deku, All for One is evil!"

"From my point of view, Pro Heroes are evil!"

"Then you are lost!"

They rushed each other.

"Falcon Punch!"

"Detroit Smash!"

Boom!

Their fists bled.

My future self tried a feint.

"Falcon Punch!"

Deku prepared—

"Detroit—What?!"

Instead of a punch, a kick landed.

"Shit!"

Bam!

The kick hit Deku's stomach. He fell.

"Uuuuuuugh..."

Deku struggled as my future self declared:

"It's over, Deku! I have the high ground."

"You underestimate my power."

Deku grinned. His arm bulked up with drills and spikes.

"Don't try it!"

My future self warned.

Deku jumped, swinging.

"Die!"

My future self raised his flaming, lightning-imbued fist.

"Falcon Punch!!!"

Their fists collided again, but gravity gave my future self the edge.

Boom!

Deku crashed into debris.

"Ugh!"

Blood splattered. He was pierced by iron rods.

"Arrrgh!!!"

He screamed as flames crawled up his legs.

"You were the Chosen One! You were meant to defeat the villains, not join them! Bring peace, not darkness!"

"I HATE YOU!!!"

Deku was beyond saving.

"You were my brother, Deku! I loved you!"

Flames consumed him. He turned to ash.

Light shrouded my vision.

My consciousness faded.
