– A Few Days Later –
Ichika returned to Musutafu to hang out with his childhood friends. At a basketball court near the park, he and Bakugou were playing on the same team, facing off against tall players from another city.
With Ichika dribbling the ball at half court, a quick glance from Bakugou was all it took—Ichika threw a lob, and Bakugou dashed past his guard, leaped, and caught the ball mid-air.
"Die!!" Bakugou shouted, slamming down a dunk.
Moments later, Ichika intercepted a long pass and immediately launched the ball back toward Bakugou.
"Get out of my way and die!!" he yelled, slamming the ball through the hoop again.
Izuku, cheering from the sidelines, was ecstatic."Kacchan! Ichika-kun! You guys are amazing!"
Ichika stole the ball again, passed it to Bakugou, who then leaped high and dunked it once more."DIE!!"
The opposing team was overwhelmed.
"No way!""Those two are unstoppable!"
The score was completely one-sided.[Home 69 – 22 Away]
After the game, Izuku handed them both towels and water bottles."Thanks for the hard work!"
Ichika wiped his sweat as Bakugou glared at him.
"Ichika, what's wrong with you? You were dragging me down the entire game!"
"Huh?"
"That's right, Ichika-kun. You were letting your opponents score and you looked spaced out." Izuku added, concerned.
Their teammates were shocked—Ichika, who had carried the game, wasn't even fully focused?
"If you've got problems, suck it up. Don't get in my way!" Bakugou barked.
Ichika sighed and looked down.
"Well... a few days ago, a girl confessed to me. I don't know how to respond. It's been on my mind, and I haven't been sleeping well."
"Huh?!!" Bakugou and Izuku blushed at the sudden turn of topic.
"She told me not to answer her yet—she's just waiting for her chance."
"Chance? What?" Bakugou frowned, clearly flustered.
"If I ever break up with Rumi... she wants me to date her next."
"Wow..." Izuku looked amazed, while Bakugou seemed ready to explode.
"Grrrrr! Just reject her if you don't feel anything! Stop giving her false hope! You're just hurting her!" Bakugou shouted.
Ichika blinked in realization.
"Kacchan..."
"Stop being distracted, or I'll beat you down early. Watch your back, All Might's son!" he growled, then stormed off.
"Tch!"
Izuku watched him go, then turned to Ichika."Ichika-kun... what he meant was—"
"I know." Ichika smiled.
"He just sucks at giving advice, right?"
"Yeah..." Izuku nodded with a chuckle.
Meanwhile—
La Brava and Roboco were walking through the market district with bags of groceries.
"Seems like we bought a lot."
But this won't last a week. We should've brought Father to help carry more.
"He went to Musutafu to hang out with his friends."
While they chatted happily, La Brava spotted Gentle through the window of a family restaurant. He was dressed in casual clothes.
"Gentle!"
Wait, Manami-chan!
Just as she was about to run inside, Roboco stopped her.
"Roboco, I want to talk to Gentle. We haven't seen each other in a while and he rarely contacts me now..."
Don't.
"Huh?"
Then La Brava saw a young woman approach Gentle and smile at him. Her heart dropped when Gentle smiled back and gestured for her to sit across from him. Their atmosphere was warm—sweet and romantic.
"What's the meaning of this...?"
Manami-chan, let's go...
"Who is that woman?!"
Tears streamed down La Brava's face as she began making a commotion.
"You knew about this, didn't you, Roboco?!"
Manami-chan, I mean—
Just then, Gentle pulled out a small box, got down on one knee, and opened it.
La Brava gasped, her groceries slipping from her arms.
"What is this...?"
The ring sparkled. The woman smiled and accepted. They hugged as the entire restaurant clapped in celebration.
La Brava's heart shattered."Roboco! I thought you were my best friend!" she cried, running off.
Manami-chan!Roboco couldn't bring herself to chase her.
Later, at the beach near the city—
Ichika and Izuku were jogging along the seashore.
"One more lap!"
"Yes!"
Izuku was struggling to keep up while Ichika hadn't even broken a sweat.
"Faster!"
"Yes!"
Suddenly, Izuku stumbled and fell in the sand.
"Kyah!"
Ichika stopped and looked back.
"What are you doing? Stand up! You need to push through if you want to become a real hero!" he said strictly.
"Y-Yes!"
Izuku stood up, trembling, but clearly exhausted.
Seeing this, Ichika sighed and scratched the back of his head.
Ring! Ring!
His phone buzzed. After reading a message, his expression changed.
"Sorry, Deku-chan. There's an emergency at home—I have to go!"
"What happened?"
"I'll send you home first."
Ichika grabbed her wrist and teleported instantly.
"How—?!" Izuku was stunned. They were suddenly outside her apartment.
"I'll explain next time. See you at our next training!" he said, waving before vanishing.
Back at his workshop, Ichika rushed to La Brava's room. Roboco was sitting on the floor outside her door, looking downcast.
Father!
"What happened?"
Roboco explained everything.
"I see... Gentle's getting married. That must've been a huge shock. I didn't think it'd happen so soon."
Father, let me talk to her! If this continues, she's going to quit—and I don't want that! She's my best friend!
"I think we should give her time to recover."
Father...!Roboco was pleading, eyes filled with emotion.
Ichika sighed and opened a wormhole beside them. He couldn't say no to his adorable daughter when she rarely asked for anything. Besides, La Brava quitting would cause serious issues for the company.
Thank you, Father!Roboco hugged him, then jumped into the wormhole.
"I guess I'll leave Hecker to her."
Ichika sat back, thinking. Ryukyu's confession came to mind. If he rejected her now, it might affect her performance—just like his own current dilemma. He needed time to think carefully before making a decision.
