Chapter 107 - Chapter 100: Melissa Shield

Chapter 100: Melissa ShieldAuthor: Geraint

In the afternoon, Ichika, who had just returned from Musutafu, teleported straight to the Hero Commission wearing his black armored suit. His intimidating presence caused the people lining his path to panic slightly—they thought something serious had happened. With each step, a heavy pressure surrounded him, making those nearby bow their heads instinctively.

Heavy breathing~

When he entered the conference room, Mera quickly stood up and offered his seat to Ichika, sensing the serious mood surrounding him. A nervous atmosphere spread throughout the room.

The old man in the room approached and whispered something to Ichika.

"I see... That's unfortunate," Ichika replied with a nod, visibly saddened.

Everyone swallowed nervously as the meeting began.

"Thank you all for coming today," Ichika said, standing. "I gathered you here to discuss the new idol business I'm about to launch."

Everyone blinked in surprise and exchanged confused glances. The room filled with curiosity—what was Ichika's goal this time?

"I just received news that my android daughter, Roboco, failed all her idol auditions. Those trash companies didn't just reject her—they said she wasn't good enough, and now she's shut herself in her room."

...

The room fell silent.

Ichika stood tall, eyes filled with passion and resolve.

"That's right! From this day forward, I will dominate the idol industry! I want all of you to help me launch this new project. I want to show my daughter that she's perfect the way she is—she just needs the right place to shine!"

...

"This doting president again…"

"As expected from the Chief… It's about his daughter."

"No wonder the atmosphere felt so heavy."

"But hey, if this becomes a hit, we're talking major profits."

"Yeah. This is Ichika we're talking about. If he touches it, it turns to gold."

Suddenly, everyone stood up and saluted.

"YES, LORD VADER!!"

And thus, Ichika became the CEO of a brand-new entertainment company.

One week later…

Ichika, All Might, La Brava, and Roboco arrived in America, heading to the renowned artificial island known as I-Island—home to over ten thousand scientists researching Quirks. Every major company involved in the Pro Hero industry had invested in this technological paradise, which focused on developing Quirk-related support items and innovations.

Stepping off their private plane, Ichika was immediately impressed by the island's design—mostly metal, sleek, and futuristic. The only access was by plane through the airport on the outer ring.

"So this is I-Island, huh? Pretty impressive."

La Brava and Roboco followed behind him, both wearing black heart-shaped sunglasses.

As they entered the airport, they were struck by the advanced tech and strict security systems. However, Roboco was stopped at the metal detector.

She pouted and looked at her father.

Father...

"I already told them I'm bringing my android daughter. You have clearance. If it doesn't let you pass—feel free to wreck it."

"ICHIKA, NO!" All Might panicked and quickly dashed toward a nearby security officer.

But Grandpa, it won't let me through…

"Wait—just give me a second!"

All Might clarified the situation, and once Ichika showed his ID, the airport staff apologized and waved them through.

After passing security, they entered the main city—an incredible sight. The island was divided into four districts, separated by water and natural scenery. It had beaches, lakes, business centers, schools, and residential zones—all contained in one massive, moving island.

All Might proudly turned to his son.

"Well? What do you think? This island was built to gather the world's top researchers, allowing them to study Quirks in peace!"

"It's beautiful. I think I'll build one in our backyard."

"What?!"

"Boss! Why not make a floating island instead?" La Brava suggested excitedly.

"Ooooh! Great idea, Hecker! Let's make a real-life Laputa next!" Ichika shouted, pointing dramatically.

"Hooh!"

They high-fived.

All Might was speechless at their casual world-building plans.

Looking around, Ichika smiled.

"In terms of tech, this place is not bad."

"But compared to us, they're about five to ten years behind," La Brava added.

"Eh?!" All Might gawked.

"If Boss ever took his research seriously, he'd already have built a time machine or a long-range teleporter. Oh! Did you know he made a portal gun and uses it like a toy?"

"You talk too much, Hecker. Want to fall infinitely again?" Ichika said with a cold tone.

"Nothing! I said nothing!" La Brava quickly looked away.

Just then, a female attendant approached them.

"Hello! Welcome to the I-Expo—eh?! Is that All Might?!"

Soon, people began to gather.

"It's him! The former No. 1 hero!"

"Kyaaah!"

"Amazing!"

Within seconds, All Might was swarmed—mostly by excited girls.

"Hahahaha!" All Might laughed, clearly used to it.

Meanwhile…

"Wait… Where's Ichika?!"

Father ran away.

Hiding in a bush near a flower field, Ichika peeked around cautiously.

"Whew. That was close. Dad's way too famous."

He stepped out and used the Space Stone to summon a ridiculous disguise: a pair of glasses with a fake nose, thick eyebrows, and a bushy mustache.

"Heh… With this, I won't stand out."

He strolled through the city confidently.

"Now that I'm separated from them, where should I—"

"Watch out!"

"Huh?"

Before Ichika could react, a young woman zoomed toward him on a strange high-tech vehicle. She was pale-skinned, curvy, and slightly above average height. Her wavy blonde hair flowed halfway down her back, framing her bright aqua-blue eyes. She had delicate lashes, stylish plaid cuffs, and wore a dark raspberry vest over a white shirt, with pink plaid socks and brown heeled boots.

"KYAAAAAH—!!"

THUD!

She crashed right into him. Both of their glasses flew off and fell to the ground.

"Ugh… That hurt…"

When she opened her eyes, she realized she had landed on top of Ichika—her hand awkwardly inside his shirt, touching his chest.

"Eh?!"

Her face turned crimson.

Ichika stared at her blankly.

"How long are you planning to stay like that?" he said flatly.

"Ah! I'm sorry!"

Flustered, she scrambled off him.

Ichika sat up and sighed.

"Such misfortune…"
