Before Daya's Father could say anything, Big Sister immediately proclaimed her innocence. As long as she didn't admit it, no one could force her to confess to what she'd done.
"The Clan Leader is so old; who knows what he's rambling about all day? Head of the Household, you can't take his idle talk as something I said, can you? Who knows where he heard it from and just assumed I said it?"
