"Yo, isn't that Scholar An's house? It's on fire!"
"It really is. Hurry and put out the fire, or it'll spread to my place."
Even though the houses weren't connected, they all had thatched roofs, so a little spark could set them ablaze. Of course, everyone was worried.
So, everyone didn't bother with eating and grabbed their buckets, rushing to the gate of An Que's house.
But when they got there, everyone was stunned. It wasn't a house fire. Something unknown was burning in An's courtyard, shining as bright as day.
"What's going on here?"
"What are they burning, such a large pile?"
The people were clueless, standing outside the courtyard, staring at the fire heap inside An Que's yard.
"Look, doesn't that look like books? Why do I think they look so much like books? Squarish shapes." A middle-aged man voiced his suspicion.
Seeing it wasn't a house on fire, they didn't rush to douse it with water, standing outside An Que's house, gossiping while watching the blaze.
