Norah FaceTimed her that night. The shiny band on her finger had been the first thing she saw on the screen.
"No!"
"Oh my God!"
"Did he..."
She couldn't finish her words.
"No. I mean he just gave me a promise ring." Norah added excited.
James and Norah were soulmates. She had seen their relationship blossom into something beautiful every time.
"When did it happen?" she asked curiously.
"Tonight. He planned this whole thing out with my friends. I thought they had ditched me about dinner but instead I was walking into something James had planned." she narrated with a grin.
Her happiness was contagious. Tara couldn't help but smile.
James and Norah went to Stanford together. They both had always been interested in the sciences. Somehow their dream to go to college together had been answered when they both received acceptance letters to Stanford.
"I am so happy for you. You deserve all the happiness in the world." Tara murmured.
