Prologue

"I'm home!" he called out from the door.

His mother rushed to open the door. Once he saw his forty-year old mother, his smile grew wide. "Hey, mom!"

"Oh, honey, I miss you!" his mother said and pulled her into a suffocating embrace.

"It was just a fellowship," he said and pulled away to stare at her brown eyes, "you should have nothing to worry about. God's with me and that means nothing can harm me that He won't let."

"My son is now growing up. Thank God." She then showered him kisses all over his face and she hugged him tight one last time before letting him go. "Let's go!" She tried grab his baggage on the doorway but he stopped her.

"Mom, I can do this."

She smiled as she trailed her eyes to her son who was carrying his baggage into his room independently. "Oh, God, I so thank You for this son. He's becoming a gentleman."

John opened his baggage and took his clothes into segregation. Used colored clothes were in his hamper and used white clothes were in a separate laundry basket. The unused clothes were back inside his wardrobe.

"Honey, there's a delivery addressed to you!"

"What's that?" he asked to himself before running out of his room. "I haven't ordered anything. You've told me to minimize my online shopping."

"I don't know, too, son."

He approached the man who was standing ten feet away from their doorway. "I'm sorry to decline, mister, but I haven't ordered anything."

"Sir, it's a free delivery, let me just take a picture of you holding your delivery."

"Okay." John reached out for a square-shaped parcel and smiled at the camera.

"Thank you, sir."

"Thank you, too. Good bye, mister. Merry Christmas, and God bless!" He waved his hand as he hugged the light package he received.
