In the Elf Race's Holy Hall a day earlier, Gamplov seemed to know Alvis was coming. As soon as Alvis appeared outside the door, he spoke:
"Come in."
Outside the Holy Hall's grand entrance, Alvis looked somewhat surprised, but after hesitating only for a moment, he pushed the door open and entered.
Gamplov sat cross-legged, facing the statues of the past Elf Kings inside the Holy Hall.
When Alvis pushed open the door, the statues shimmered with mysterious light in the sunlight.
The solemn or kind faces on the several statues appeared exceptionally vivid and lifelike at this moment.
Alvis stepped into the hall, and the grand doors slowly closed behind him.
The interior of the Holy Hall was once again engulfed in darkness.
The statues with varying expressions also faded into the shadows as the hall door closed, appearing and disappearing as if they were phantoms.
Looking at the old man sitting cross-legged before him, Alvis spoke with a complex expression:
