Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 the final test the maze

As soon as I stepped into the maze, I felt as if every part of the maze was watching. I took a deep breath, and I started down the maze for what felt like days until I reached a chamber with a large Mid Century door. There was something I had to do to unlock the door, and I pondered for hours what it could be. There were three pedestals in the room, and three images were displayed on the wall above the door. One was a scorpion, another was a spider, and one resembled a bat. Below the images, a faint image of a heart was visible. I looked around the room and noticed that there were hidden doors in the walls. I finally realized what this chamber was. I needed to get the hearts of each of these creatures in these hidden Passages. I went to the first one and opened it. I walked into the dimly lit room and waited. The room was almost as big as the school cafeteria, with Stone pillars hanging down from the ceiling, dripping with acid. A horrid Screech came from behind me. A huge bat was hanging from the ceiling behind me. This Bat was roughly the size of three men, and it was drooling acid. As I drew my blades, the bat came directly at me. It tried to bite me, but luckily, I dodged and cut off one of its feet. It's acid blood melted a piece of my armor. The bat then went to a ranged attack. As it shot balls of acid at me, I quickly dodged them and wrapped my blades around one of its wings. I tore off its wing as it lay on the ground screeching. I put my sword between its eyes and ended the fight. I took a deep breath as I kicked the body over and cut out its heart. I placed the heart on one of the pedestals in the main chamber, and the image of the bat on the wall sank into the wall. I then went into the Scorpion chamber. This room was significantly smaller than the other, and the Scorpion was not hiding like the bat. It was a Square in the center of the chamber waiting for me. It roared and attacked me with its poisonous tail. I cast a spell, and the Scorpion began to kneel to me. The spell was a control creature spell, and I now have control of this creature for the next 30 minutes. Without hesitation, I got on the back of the scorpion and entered the last chamber of the spider. It was in the biggest room in the group. The Spider was single-handedly the biggest creature I have ever seen with his eight sharp, pointy legs, venomous stinger, and large wings. The entire room was encased with webs as I commanded the scorpion to attack. Both the Scorpion and the spider clashed in the middle of the room. I could tell the Scorpion was easily outmatched as the spider injected the Scorpion with its paralyzing sting. Still, that distraction was all I needed as I slid underneath the spider and cut its stomach open, killing the Ferocious spider. I was then able to claim both the Heart of the Scorpion and the Heart of the Spider at the same time. I placed both on the pedestal. The door opened to an even larger chamber. As I stepped in, I heard a Voice. "Hello, Traveler, my name is Sobak the Dragon. I commend you for traveling such a great distance. And who might you be?" "My name is Jericho, and I am the son of Hades." "Of course, you are said the dragon," and I am your final test. Leave out the gate behind me, and you're out of the maze. You will need to complete a final test. However, that implies that you have the strength to beat me." At that point, he took on a human form. He had pure white skin and scales running up and down his arms, legs, and face. And he was a towering 17-foot Giant. He reached behind him and pulled out a gigantic mace. I knew this wasn't going to be easy as our battle began. He took the first swing, knocking me into the wall behind me, breaking my leg. As I got up, hopping on one leg, I took the next swing, but he easily blocked it and knocked me to the floor. On the floor, I prepared a dark magic spell, and as it hit him, nothing happened. He laughed and said, "Magic doesn't work on me. You have come here only to die, and once I kill you, I will kill everybody you've ever cared about ." As I heard these words, something inside me snapped, and a bottle of purple fire erupted around me. As my skin changed and my body began to take on a new form, it became pitch black. As I changed, pitch black feathered wings and golden armor encased my body. A giant spear-sword weapon that glowed red with Dark Energy appeared in my hand, and my eyes became crimson red. My face began to crack with red energy. My mouth turned into mandibles like a predator as I transformed into a monster. I shot a spell at him, and this time it was effective, knocking him into the corner. He realized that my new form and the amount of power I had were different. The dragon used its flame breath to burn every corner of the room, which I countered with my own flame breath, which turned purple. I began to just completely overpowered the Dragon until it was beaten to the point where I could kill it at any second. But before I killed it, I stopped and said in an echoey evil kind of voice, "Obey me forever, and I will spare your life." "I will obey you," said the Dragon. I sheathed the spear sword on my back and walked out the exit. I met with Kanan and someone else on the outside and was met with a look of Horror and shock. Before anybody could say anything, though, I passed out on the ground and lost my monster form, becoming human once more.
