When Vera Warner lay down, she caught a glimpse of Victor Morgan on the sofa out of the corner of her eye and couldn't help but turn her head angrily to glare at him.
She'd originally wanted to curse him out, but seeing his hands in casts and how off he looked, her anger shifted into curiosity.
Victor, of course, noticed her actions and grumbled, "Are you an idiot or what? How could you let someone trick you into a place like that?"
"Just what is wrong with you? If you keep your mouth shut, no one will think you're mute."
