Chapter 33 - Absolutely Not

When she heard the word "benefactor," Vera Warner thought it was an incredibly terrifying thing to say. She hurried to the study ahead of time, waiting for Victor Morgan's arrangements.

Vera's mood was truly awful right now—the main problem was that things had suddenly blown up, and handling it had become rather tricky.

The thing was, even if she explained everything clearly in the future, it would remain shrouded in confusion, and her reputation would be damaged all the same.

When Victor Morgan arrived, he said aloud, "I used to be curious about what kind of person that Willow was. I never thought she'd actually be living in my house."

Vera replied carelessly, "Hearing you talk like that, you must have had someone investigate me already. If you've got something to say, make it quick. I have a lot of important work to do."

Victor gestured with his chin for her to turn on the computer, his face calm, smiling with utter confidence.
